Tig, one way to think about the magician card in reference to your question is that YOU have the power to make whatever you want come to pass. Melissa’s song “My Lover” is one of the sexiest songs of all time imo. That one came later in her career. When I saw her 3 times (late 80s to early 90s in Cleveland) many moons ago, I was going thru rough times losing my sister. Her music definitely helped get me thru it. In 2000, I got a bright green Chemeketa Community College (USA) basketball jacket from a charity shop here in New Zealand. In 2016 as I was one of the last ones waiting to get off a domestic flight here, a guy a couple of rows back waiting too said something about my jacket. I get that a lot so I just nodded and smiled. Then as we were disembarking, he said “I’m pretty sure that’s my old jacket.” which I thought was a bit weird. But he mentioned Chemeketa and I got interested because it’s only a small logo on the front which he was unlikely to have seen. He told me how he was over there on a teaching trip, years ago at the college (he’s a Kiwi) and of how it ended up being donated. As much as he loved it, he was tired of all the joking his mates did about it being Aussie colours when it came to sports, as is our friendly rivalry with them here. So he donated it, it matched up with the area I brought it. What sealed it for me though was how he wrote his name inside and I always wondered what it was as it had faded a bit, but yes, it was his name and this was the original owner, randomly in that place, time and moment, with us meeting. We got a photo, hugged and left. I still love and wear the jacket and am always wowed by that moment. 💚

Tig, I've started treading water! I love swimming but I've got a hip problem at the moment which limits the strokes I can do, and I can't swim for as long as I used to without my hip becoming painful. This was getting me down, but then I remembered you talking about treading water, so now I've added it to my swimming session. I look like a bit of a weirdo doing it in the public pool, but who cares its good for my hip and I like it.

When Sex and the City was in its heyday, there was an episode with Samantha- who would be considered the one cast member who promoted unemotional sex, one night stands, certainly no monogamy. Then she meets a man who changes everything. The scene where as an audience member you just know Samantha HAS fallen in love and so has he- as they stand in front of one another gazing into each others eye- with that recognition that everything they said they didn’t do- has just been tossed out the window.
