Listening to this young boy brings utter joy to my heart! I was an abused child, half beaten to death I was found under a tree on a golf course. I became a foster child, was very lucky to have the love of my foster parents. They adopted 19 of us, and raised over 2000 of us in their 70 years of fostering. I became a foster parent as an adult and fostered many. I am now disabled and unable to foster, I so miss fostering it was my life's greatest joy.. If you have the room in your heart, and home please foster, and/or adopt children. Most children just need to be loved, and to have what every child deserves. God Bless this young man, we all need to listen and help the children of our Earth.

@xPhoenix17 The fact that you mentioned it in a comment, is to open up, although, many of us are not prepared to be able to help a victim of abuse, as they are not professionally qualified, the only thing I can tell you is that you don't have to be ashamed of it, don't it's your fault. People who have abused you should feel guilty and ashamed. You are not to blame. Luckily I have never been physically or sexually abused, but at 15 I too was on the verge of not wanting to live anymore, I was bullied at school. I've been through that hell, I've walked through it, and I still mentally bear the marks of it... I'm often depressed, but not to the point I was when I was a teenager... Be strong and you will get through this moment. Find someone you can trust, an adult who knows what he's doing, a psychologist, a doctor, a policeman, but only when you're ready to talk about what happened to you... with their help you will overcome your trauma, even if it will be a difficult job, perhaps the most difficult of all.

I was physically abused as a child and I remember feeling alone and scared. I wish I would have had a friend like Elijah. This young man is remarkable and doing God's work. There are no words to describe the level of this young man's passion and integrity. He is an angel walking among us on Earth. As someone who worked with abused and neglected children as a child (due to my mother and grandfather) I stan with this young man. I agreed with his positions when I was his age because I had been introduced to all sorts of family life and understood that family lives were different from mine. This young man makes a case for being a great advocate for all department of health and human services. I really hate child abuse. It hurts me in the heart when I see , hear or read about a child that's been abused. Young ones like Elijah will change the hearts of other children and loving adults as well with his passion. Thank you Kelly for this story.
