After every lesson my Chemistry teacher's been teaching in my Chem 2 class, I've been coming to your videos to understand and review everything my teacher taught me in class, and to be honest, I could homeschool myself using your videos that are 4-5min long compared to an hour of lecturing! Your videos have helped me understand chemistry lessons because you explain things to make them seem so simple

A piece of copper having a mass of 1.5 kg is heated to a temperature of 150 degree centigrade and is then dropped into a thermoflask containg 0.85 kg of water at an initial temperature of water? Take Ccm = 0.378kj/kg degree centigrade and no heat is absorbed by the thermoflask.

@melissamaribel
@melissamaribel 5 жыл бұрын
Hey Angela, so for Calorimetry questions, we use our mass in grams this is based on the specific heat capacity that is given. So if the specific heat capacity was in kg then yes the mass would also be in kg. Most questions I have typically seen use the mass in grams.
