Girl, I feel you so hard on the apartment showings! They’ve been showing mine since November and it has been such an annoyance and inconvenience!! I cannot wait for someone to finally sign the lease, it’s so awkward having strangers walking around looking at my stuff. And I have two dogs also 😫

Usually suites are $1000 for each floor. So $17,000 for the 17th floor. You’re right the higher the better in terms of resale. Honestly painting the condo as a trade off is a joke. It’s probably $700 to paint an entire apartment

I have never heard of apartment rentals doing showings while the tenant still lives there. How weird. Is that a Canadian thing??

It's pretty common in BC. I believe it's because the landlord want to have the new tenant living their immediately, rather than have a vacant unit for so long. Also, the vancouver rental market and surrounding areas is insane. So many people are looking for rental units.

Yea, we get ours shown in Los Angeles all the time :/ It is super inconvenient! My roommate and I are actresses, so we often have weekdays off... it's just weird having so many strangers coming through AND having to clean every day! Haha!

FYI: All these hotels/rooms you stay at may appear clean. Bring disinfectant/sanitizing wipes, if you have time wipe surfaces down quick. I've worked at many hotels and know for a fact some housekeepers would use the SAME RAG on EVERYTHING in every room they "clean". Example: the rag they used to clean the toilet they use to dust. Disgusting I know. Thought you'd like to know...
