Thanks for the video. I just purchased my first 24k gold chain and I love it. However, there’s another jeweler I know that offers 21K gold. I am a little confused. Is it because gold can be actually rated a little less than advertised and he wants to stay in the safe zone?

Melissa 22k gold jewelry can be cashed in or traded for something else in a minute! Just walk into any Asian, Indian jewelry store, in any country and trade for something else or take the cash! You certainly can't do that with a lesser karat of gold. In those countries, people do exactly that when they either need the money or want a change of jewelry. They don't always have lots of money sitting around to keep buying other designs.

only reason high purity will be bad is if you choose a lightweight piece with dainty design and use it as an everyday piece. i used to have 24k wedding ring size 6 that is 3.8grams and it got banged up pretty bad because i use my hands a lot for work. now i downgraded to 20k gold 3grams and its holding up pretty well. i think pendant would be a good piece for a high carat gold. chain would be too expensive 💸
