I always struggle knowing what kind of skin type I have I think I have a combo because I sometimes dry when it's hot out or dehydrated but I don't feel super greasy either but I tend to breakout around the nose and chin thanks for tips I'm trying to get into an easy makeup routine so looks like I got more sleep than in reality lol

What about just using a Benzoyl Peroxide cream or adapalene? If that's your only concern, you do not necessarily need makeup, apart from a bit of concealer.

Using a primer is optional, this depends on the primer you have and if you like what the primer is doing, then for sure use one! Mixing the BB cream and moisturiser will work for sure to make it less strong but I'm not sure if mixing the primer + BB cream will work as well, you have to try it! - it's not wrong to mix them but I guess it just will change the texture a bit but not really the coverage😅

Ok Soooo I am wondering if I can get some help.... I am doing this amazing Skin care routine that has different Acids and oils (Depending on the day) and end it with a sunblock moisturizer... Hey! :) Yes, apply your primer 10 to 15 min. after applying your sunscreen so that the sunscreen has time 'to set' so that it won't move much around when using the primer or other makeup products on top.

I have dry skin and look good with satin and dewy foundations but my skin looked five years older with fully matte foundation even though I moisturized well and used dewy primer and dewy setting spray. So I was wondering if it’s just me or dry skinned people can’t really pull off matte foundations.

Dry skin and matte foundation won't make the skin dewy...Also, matte foundations are meant to keep the skin matte. Depending on how thick the matte foundation may be and how much you use of it, your dewy primer won't shine through. Do you like the texture of matte foundation more than of dewy foundations?

Well, you do not have to stick to dewy foundations just because of your skin type. Just make sure that you prep your skin well otherwise it may feel drying on the skin. However, I don't think that you will be able to achieve a dewy finish when working with a matte foundation. Unless you may add a few drops of liquid highlighter to your foundation.

@@chelciebrown3129 I wouldn't use a moisturiser. I would look for a hydrating toner/essence or serum instead as it adds hydration to the skin but isn't as heavy as a moisturizer. Do you use a concealer to cover up blemishes? Setting powder helps to keep you matte for much longer. Still, you can always re-powder your face. Or have a look at Kryolan Dermocolor Cream Foundation. That one has a strong coverage as well.

@@chelciebrown3129 For months (maybe even a year or so), I've been using Kryolan Digital Complexion Foundation, Catrice or The Ordinary Concealer and Kryolan Digital Complexion Finish Powder. I either use CeraVe Micellar Water or use a Balm Cleanser like Beauty of Joseon.

Hey! :) You may want to take care of your redness and small pimples - using skincare products. This way you do not necessarily need to use a color-correcting primer or even concealer and you can immediately use your dewy primer! :) Also, using a bit more of a yellow or even green-toned foundation can also help to balance redness on your face.

Depending on how much redness you may have, using foundations with a neutral or yellow tone may already be enough! :) Or look for a light yellowish-greenish/olive undertoned-concealer and just use it on your redness and then blend your foundation on top of it.

Yes. Sometimes using a moisturiser can be too much/too heavy for your skin needs and therefore you just want to stick to a hydrating serum because it is lighter, or you also want to use a moisturiser after it, if needed! :)

There is no way to cover the pimples naturally in real life. You can only neutralize the colour, but you cannot hide it. As soon as you have a small bump or scar it will be visible no matter what you are doing.

And it is not possible to hide a bump or pimple scar with makeup so that it looks natural. You will always notice a bump/scar in the real world. The only way to hide it is by applying tons of makeup so that the bump won't be visible anymore, but that's a tremendous amount of product, and you will cover your natural appearance. On KZbin and Instagram, people use filters or apply way too much product that will not feel comfortable on the skin, and they just cover up their face so that they look similar. That's not a natural application. Nobody in the real world will do this unless they apply it for theatre or maybe a show so that they can take it off as quickly as possible. But that was/is not the purpose of this video. It should be wearable during the day. You only can do natural makeup by keeping the skins natural appearance. If anyone tells you something different, he/she is lying.

What kind of makeup artist are you if you don’t know that full coverage does hide pimples and scars? In the real life world too, people put on makeup every single day and they actually cover everything. You won’t even know they have pimples and scars at all. Also on youtube I have watched a billion videos and KZbinrs without filter. They actually get to cover their pimples and scars with expensive and full coverage makeup. Nobody even knew alot of my friends and cousins had pimples and scars until they took their makeup off. Even on KZbin, there is bullion of videos where you don’t know a person has pimples and scars until they take their makeup off. With a natural makeup application you can cover pimples and scars. Full coverage concealer and foundation do wonders covering up pimples and scars. Expensive ones work well too. The pigmentation of the pimple and scar won’t show with full coverage makeup. I’m not lying even if I’m saying something different than you.

Well, if that's the way you apply makeup on your clients, then that's the way you do it. However, you can not call a full coverage makeup a natural makeup look if there is nothing natural about it anymore since you cover up it all up. However, if you want to create a natural makeup look, you use less makeup in general since you only want to improve your skin tone or little imperfections but not hide it. Most of the time, you'll see people with beautiful natural skin anyway, and it is easy to create a "flawless" look on them. However, when using someone with acne or wrinkles, it's going to be a bit different. Either you have to use more product, or you will still see the bumps, scars or wrinkles. It's also a personal preference of how much makeup you want to apply to yourself. Some people just want to use the tiniest amount, whereas others may prefer full coverage; that's fine too. And how do you know if someone isn't using a filter on KZbin or somewhere else if nowadays you rarely find it without a filter? Or if it is not a filter, the proper lightening will do the trick as well😉
