I am not the owner of the exchange, but for the swaps I've done-usually worth a few hundred dollars-I've never had any issues. However, you can also contact them if something goes wrong; they are still very helpful :)

@@emirhattab9987 Yes, I also have this, and I rarely use centralized exchanges these days. The best option would be using something like Thorchain (thorchain.org/) or Mayachain (www.mayaprotocol.com/). With these platforms, you can simply connect your wallet, such as XDEFI (www.xdefi.io/), and swap as you please. The interfaces I use are Rango Exchange (app.rango.exchange/) and CacaoSwap (cacaoswap.app/), so no central exchange is involved. Although it's not working for Monero yet, however Maya is integrating Zcash in the near future, which may be another option. However, for all the other coins, it's definitely worth considering and a fantastic option. :)

Well, I haven't tried it in a while since I was using Kucoin most of the time, as you can easily setup an account without KYC, and fees are much better for larger amounts. However, for a small amount, the swaps are okay, and worth trying.

And yes, there is currently no way to swap Monero for BTC. Thorchain is working on it, but still no date set for this.

No, except that you will have less privacy and possibly worse exchange rates, and often less liquidity. But I haven't looked into it for at least a year, so it has probably improved in the meantime.

Nice and clear video. However, with this method there is an obvious counterparty risk: you send your BTC and expect to receive XMR back, but they could just take your BTC and disappear. Ideally this should be done with a BTC-XMR atomic swap, are there any tools that provide this service?

Hey :) Yes, that is a risk; therefore, this is only good for small amounts so that the counterparty risk is already reduced. Unfortunately, there is no alternative yet for large swaps; you can use Kucoin or Tradeogre (the best option would be Tradeogre). We have to wait until the decentralized exchanges are ready; Thorchain will likely be the first to integrate the swaps. Still, it may take another few months or even a year; they did not give any time frame for it. Others, such as Flip, also look very interesting for the swaps. Best to exchange it privately with someone else that you know, but that is of course very difficult to do 😕
