Hey man loved the tutorial! Just a tip - when making monophonic sounds like basses or leads, it's typically better to have the unison set to an odd number (i.e. 15 instead of 16) in order to have a clearer fundamental frequency, and let 100% of the harmonics come from the detuned unison signals instead of having two main signals with the detunes on the side. Super minor but helps with mixing :)
@mhamusic.3 жыл бұрын
Thats a great tip, i'll definitely keep that in mind. Im not a sound design expert by any means so I really appreciate it! 😁

very cool video - got me going with serum! - One thing that 'stumped' me, How come I don't have 'classic synths' category as an option in the wavetables list? (14:50) in your video.

Do you have any tips for enhancing vocals when recording and importing them into FL Studio to achieve a polished sound? Are there any recommended plugins for tasks such as autotune, pitch correction, and overall vocal enhancement? For instance, when I sang using Garageband on my phone, I found a feature that added a stage-like quality to my voice, giving it a professional singer's touch.

I found this video to be useful for learning how to make some of those 'Bread & Butter' kinds of sounds that are very common, and thats primarily what I want to learn how to do now. I already have a copy of SERUM which I got from Renting to now Owning from Splice and I'm comfortable enough with pretty much any Synth, including my MODAL Cobatlt5S Hardware synth when I don't want a computer screen with DAW distracting me. Thanks man!!

At 14:51 you change the osc 1 sound and select from a folder named ‘classic synths’. Where did that folder come from as I don’t have that in my version of Serum? Is it a download (add-on)? Great video btw - I’ve learnt so much from it so thank you.

But when I export the audio into an MP4, the snares and claps sound almost like distorted clanking glass. I've been trying to fix it and nothing has helped. How do i fix this? 🙁
