Fyi, ingame a knight constitues the character and a retinue of soldiers. That historically was usually around 100 So it’s lets 40 guys and more like 4000 elite soldiers fighting mostly peasants

Yeah, I've noticed the CK3 combat system is rather simple and broken during release, when I played some vampire mod where a vampire could have insane prowess, sent her alone against an army just for the lulz, and to my surprise, se really did kill them all, I've been expecting a drastic overhaul/remake of the entire combat system ever since.

@@cedricantunes4600 Nope it's never been a feature, you can check the end of battle screens and you will never find your character. The only way is through a very difficult to install mod you can find in a another video I made called "I made the ULTIMATE Warrior in CK3"

@@MellowScot A breakdown would be nice though. The numbers don't seem to add up. Military academies at early medieval boost knight effectiveness by 25% so even if you had 10 of those, you'd still only have 250%. Blacksmiths only boost by 4% as well.

@@MellowScot Yes and No. While both are Celtic, One comes from the The P side of the language, and another comes from the Q side. Sharing a common ancestor, far back enough that words have become unintelligible. Think of this, from the south of britain, to the north with the Picts, was a spoken language, called common brythonic. It was said that this was the shared langage of Britain. In the great wartime poem, Y Gododdin ('Yuh- Goh-doth-in") It is said that 300 great champions were raised from the south to the picts in the north, to march on the doomed battle that wold have them all return on shields. This wold not have been included n the poem, were the people from the south and north were unintelligible as the Irish and Britons were. Interaction is lower with ireland, due to its tendency to raid the coast by boat taking slaves. If Scandinavia never existed, the irish would have continued to fill the role the vikings later filled. As these kingdoms fell, the survivors would retreat west. leading to refugees of the east ending pp either in wales, or sailing for what would be named Brittany, after the Britons that would settle there. The picts fought bravely thier culture on huge decline, rom great influx of britians fleeing to what the called "The old north" The picst men dropped in number, While dealing with Scotti raiders from Ireland. There is a huge drop in male dna that is Pictish in origin, and a replacment with irish dna, suggesting the widows either remarried or were taken. Hard to tell as the picts bloodlines reportedly pass matrilineal, so an alliance with the picts would have looked roughly the same as a R*** and loot. All in all, an incredible period of vast history, with thousands of interesting things happening. If you got this far, here is a cheat sheet for welsh. 1, The alphabet has more letters: dd - th Like the 'th' in thimble or thistle. There is So The Kingdom of Gododdin is said Godothin Ch- like saying Loch, but you need to hock up something nasty? I cant really help you with this one, its a real spy catcher. Try smoking for a few years is honestly the only advice I could ive wit this cursed letter. 2, No caps. Gwynedd, the Y in gwynedd Is like the soft y, sounding like an i. So it sounds like Gwin-Eth. I don't even raise levies in my current campaign even though I have access to like 60,000 my 13 k men-at-arms and knights all with 20+ prowess tend to slaughter every army they encounter no matter the size. Biggest discrepancy was 65000 against 13000 I only lost four thousand and they lost 63

Easiest way is to be ASATRU as you get some of the best temple building/religion bonuses to knights. Then stack Camelries/Blacksmiths and Knight Academy buildings, just make sure you are under direct control of those buildings otherwise you wont get the bonus.

Just to add if you hold your 10 duchy capital counties (or whatever your stewardship allows - can easily go 2-3 duchies over and just eat malus), give the rest of the counties to your knighs (especially the older ones) they will use up their stored xp on the education trees (they need to be landed to do this). If they go military tree you get quite a few more prowess out of them (I.e., u can easily turn your 30 mean prowess to 40), and together w >1000% KE it snowballs fast. Once you hit late medieval era and upgrade your military academies to level 3 it really; you are taking down 100k AI stacks vs 70'ish knights.

@@MellowScot lithuania is set up very well for a defenders of Rod/the other two. Leads to an odd game where you never really have a reason to age up out of tribal as you use your knight effectiveness to combat all necessary threats. It's relatively easy to get your knight effectiveness to 400-600 and never leave the stone ages. Math for the "relativity easy": 1.00 base 1.00 only the strong .75 chivalry skill tree .15->.75 defenders of rod/etc .20 holy site .05 tribal gov .50-.1.00 5xwarcaps .15 dynasty legacy .50ish manage royal guard .20->.80 blademaster accolade 4.50->6.50 knight effectiveness While many more things can easily add to this i only added things i thought were fairly doable in a lifetime. convert 2 times, spend 300gp for the halls of heroes, 375gp for the warcamps, 125gp for the second duchy, 250gp for the kingdom, 250 renown for the dynasty legacy, a good marshal, and one knight per raiding group for a blade-master. 1050gp and 250 renown. It's my go-to strat for multiplayer. (Though starting norse is advised for multiplayer so as to not get bullied by other players early game with varangian guard.) I'd heavily advise merging cultures with the norse near you as soon as possible, as this enables raiding over water if you don't start Norse or Estonian.

If I understand it, 1 prowess is equivalent to 10 levy. With 1000%, it's 100 levy. Assuming at base of 20 prowess per knight, that's 100 x 20 x 60 =120000. So an army roughly equivalent to 120,000 men. That's why they're obliterating their enemies so easily. Prowess could easily be hitting 30 or 40 on some knights.

Fun fact: the actual king Arthur as depicted in Thomas Malory’s “The hoole booke of kyng Arthur & of his noble knyghtes of the rounde table” was a terrible knight and person and a downright villain, anything but chivalrous or gallant, in fact out of all of his knights the only one who could be considered gallant and pure hearted is Gallahad, which is why he’s the only one that can see the Holy Grail, the rest were all flawed in their own ways. Though it isn’t as romantic as it’s made out to be nowadays it actually makes it a more compelling and accurate CK3 playthrough

Does genius really boost the chance of learning Aspiring Blademaster? Also, how does one level up Aspiring Blademaster to Legendary Blademaster? Tournaments don't seem to grant any XP, and dueling Rivals has a 5 year cooldown. Trials-By-Combat doesn't seem to work as an Emperor, and I can't spar with my knights because my prowess is too high. it's a mess
