I am from India and from a completely different culture but this music fills my soul brothers. It is awesome. In these days of no honor, no loyality and cowardice this norse culture of olden days is so awesome. You live and die for something. Gives meaning to life. I cannot understand any words but i translate them to english and learn. Everything about scandinavia is so beautiful. It inspires to carry on with life no matter what happens. I listen to Danheim, Helvegen very frequently... keeps me brave. If these groups ever come to India, i will definitely attend the concert.

Andrew Patterson they abandoned me, I would have been the first to stand in front of them in the face of danger, I consider myself loyal and trustworthy and yet one by one they backed away and just disappeared from my life, no goodbyes just silence, it was after I revealed that I follow a pagan path, I respect their Christian path and would never try to sway them, I would have thought that the same level of respect would be repaid but instead I was labelled a devil worshiper, at the time I thought it was in jest but, well. it is true that it weighs on my heart but I’m sure in time that I will once again be surrounded by friends, maybe this time they will also be loyal and true.

At MyHeritage you can easly order DNA test in good price. I have born in Poland but I always know that something in me is from North. When I saw Sweden and Norge I felt like visiting old home. Later I discovered that some of my ancestor were nobles and family legend is that my ancestor is Kanut The Great. His mother was sister of first official polish king and her husband was Danish King Sven Forkbeard (son of Harald Bluetooth). DNA test confirmed 12% os Scandinavian gens. I like throwing axes :). Another coincidence is that I was born in new place for my family. Completely oposite site of Poland where born my grandmother. It is present north, west part of Poland. Land of small islands and Batlic Sea. As a boy I was fishing with my father in places which now we know was located Jomsborg. Place where Sven Forkbeard was growing up and where he had learned polish language because his teacher nickname was "polish taking". My ancestor are founders of Warsaw City which is now capital of Poland. Typical polish/ukrainian gens I have only 17%, but about 70% of polish people are mixed with baltic nations and balkans slavians. When I was in Serbia I was amazed again. I understood their language enough to effective communication. Yes we are old family. Now I would like to visit Lituania and Belarus.

You are free from the bonds that bound you! The Vikings that are part of the Irish heritage, I salute you as an Irishman who has seen Wood Quay in Dublin. but like all the others recorded in The Book of Invasions, you lost at the Battle of Clontarf, but not before you slew the High King Brian Boru. Your artifacts and engineering remain. Ireland would not be the same without you. You are part of us. What a sight the Vikings meeting equally fierce and unafraid of death, as our Celtic warriors were must have been. As human beings we must ask ourselves what we fight for. Lovely music.

you problably don't know the lyrics but ! you know what you do in Valhalla ahah here the translation: Who will sing me Into the death-sleep sling me When I walk the road to Hel And the tracks I tread Are cold, so cold I sought the songs I sent the songs When the deepest well Offered drops so mighty Of Valfather’s pledge I know it all, Odin Where you hid your eye Early or in fading day Still the raven knows if I fall When you stand by the gate of Hel And when you must tear loose Follow you I shall Across the bridge of Gjöll With my song You will be free from the bonds that bind you You are free from the bonds that bound you

The original song is really great, but this extended version of that song is deeply moving and fascinating. It is craftfully made with lots of love and respect for the way Wardruna made their recording. Thanks for your impressive work!!!! 🇳🇱🇳🇱🇳🇱 I truly love it, from beginning till the end.
