Hey Caan, Melodyne already supports ARA on M1 systems. Unfortunately, Logic isn’t ARA-ready yet on M1. We hope they will bring this back in a future Logic update.

Pro Tools 2022.9 Melodyne is great but how or were do you find the serial number in your AVID account to activate it?

Once you buy the Melodyne from the official website, and install it at any version, Protools automatically recognises what you installed.

Hi, thanks for the video. Is it just Melodyne Essential that works embedded in Pro Tools? Are you able to upgrade to Editor or Studio would it still work embedded in PT? Thx

Hey Paul, sorry for the late reply. All Melodyne versions support ARA. So whatever version you have, it will be embedded in Pro Tools just the same way, only with different feature sets.

Installed, activated, but all of my blobs are greyed out and I can't edit anything!!! Can't find a fix anywhere for this problem either and it's holding up my process, anybody got any ideas?

If blobs are greyed out and Melodyne is properly installed and activated, chances are Melodyne can’t find your transfer files. You can re-assign them in the Inspector panel on the left-hand side. If this doesn’t help, please feel free to talk to our support guys: www.celemony.com/support

This is great, but is there any way to disable "Saving ARA data" on every save and make it so it only saves ARA data when Melodyne has been edited?

​@@celemony The Save ARA data gets triggered any time a save occurs in Pro Tools -- both auto and manually saves. Unfortunately, until AVID uncouples PT saving from ARA data saving, I will have to continue using the standalone Melodyne. On my 2018 Mac Mini at least, the saving ARA dialog stops everything for a full 3 Mississippi count so it's a non starter. I do manual saves reflexively and frequently and it's way too distracting to have to wait for the (unchanged ARA data) to save and if I have to commit and disable Melodyne to get it to stop, I may as well be using my old export/import workflow. On a super Mac Pro with 24 cores and 128GB RAM maybe it saves so fast you don't notice but it's painfully slow on my Mac Mini. I LOVE Melodyne... don't get me wrong! :)

I'm having a minor issue where my "note separation" tool is not displaying properly in Pro Tools. Wether I manually select the "note separation" tool or I'm on the "smart tool", it's displaying my normal cursor instead (I can still double click and separate blobs though). I'm on the latest version of Pro Tools/Melodyne and am running an M1 Mac Mini. So far I'm loving this update - this little glitch is just causing me some drag - I hope to see it addressed in an update!

This program interface really sucks. I purchased it and I need to request a refund. Everything is so small, so pale, and unreadable. I would have to work with magnifying glass ! Horrible! No color customization of any kind ! Blurry, tiny small. Mouse cover the tool-tips! I am sure the features work well but the UI is a total disappointment.
