Maybe you can ask Celemony, why do they have the same color on all the tracks when separated? It would be much easier to edit if all the tracks would have there own color when separated. Maybe they can implement that in an upgrade...That would be nice!
@spikesguitarcamp4 ай бұрын
If you click on the grey blob option instead of the yellow in the multi track window at the upper left, one track will appear grey. The only problem is that the grey track cannot be edited. I agree that both active tracks should have the ability to be color coded.

I started doing this before I had the multi track function, and it was super tedious, jumping from screen to screen, not having the expertise shown here...now I have 5 Studio, and watch these vids all the time. My only regret is that I didn't happen these tools sooner. Awesome presentation. 🤘

I can't overstate how valuable I find your series of Melodyne demonstrations. Your videos are concise but detailed enough to make the lessons immediately actionable. Not an easy feat considering many of us aren't starting with a substantial base of familiarity with this type of subject matter. I say that, but I've been using Melodyne on nearly a daily basis for over 4 years now, and have progressed to using it's tools far beyond just correcting pitch on vocals. I'm finding a substantial number of tricks in every single one of the videos in this series, and continue to be amazed by the breadth of functionality. Thank you!

Yet another valuable tutorial. I like that you leave some imperfection in the project to avoid sterilizing t it. Hemmingway wrote about Spanish bull breeders achieving perfection in breeding that resulted in the bulls losing their bravery. They added some mongrel back into the blood line to restore valor. Music also can become impotent with too much perfection. perfection

Rich, I do not believe that I have ever more clearly understood your target goals, approach, or methods within a Melodyne video. This is easily the single most comprehensible video regarding Melodyne which I have ever viewed (and I am only at @6:28). And to be clear, I don't mean YOUR clearest video... ... I mean the single clearest and most definitively conveyed Melodyne video which I have ever seen. I am hoping that future videos on Melodyne will be as clear, paced for undoubted demonstration comprehension by the audience, detailed regarding the references to tools/U.I. menus used, and precise in overall tutorial goal... I can NOT possibly thank you enough for providing me a video which makes me want to keep Melodyne, as I truly was preparing to find out whether the license could be resold... But not now... (at least not yet). Please keep them coming. 😀 Best wishes to you and to Celemony for a successful 2022.

Rick, thank you for this video. I have been struggling with timing tools and I have only scratched the surface but wit this video, I'm about to get it. Love your style and how you show some the parameters that allow us to make this work. I'm going to watch your entire series. Well Done! Bobby Reed

Hey! Great video! Could you use the pitch transistion tool for a quicker note transition instead of the time tool in 15:58? Your prompt response is greatly appreciated!
@celemony6 ай бұрын
Hey Jason. Yes, if you see the pitch transition line, you can of course also tweak it to your liking. Whatever gives you the quickest results.

Is it the same as separating notes and resizing fragments with a regular timing tool?
@celemony Жыл бұрын
Partly yes, but the time handles are more flexible and give you some advanced options.

I recently purchased Studio 5 (melodyne). I have a lot of files stored from previous versions that I no longer need. Is there a good or right way to delete old files. I believe they are stored in Celemony folder... Can you advise thanks.

I have melody ARA, do the timing tools work in ARA?
@celemony Жыл бұрын
Yes, they do work in both ARA and AU/VST/AAX plug-ins as well as in the standalone version of Melodyne. Please note, though, that Melodyne essential does not come with dedicated timing tools.

Hey. Working with chords. I'm trying to type in chord names along the top time grid. However I need smaller resolution. No matter what I set the TIME GRID too 1/16 1/32t ect, it has no effect and I cannot break the line into another measure. In fact I seem to only have 4 snap points between each grid line. I must be missing something obvious... Any ideas?

@TheBinaryWolf10 ай бұрын
I think holding down the Alt key in the chord bar lets you place chords anywhere in the measure, and thus enter more chords than the grid allows. I doubt you will ever need to have more than one chord ber beat, although Rodrigo in one his adagios has no less than seven chords in a measure.

Is there a way to use Melodyne without going online everytime? Thanks for your help.
@celemony2 жыл бұрын
Of course there is. 🙂 What you probably mean is the automatic update check. You can disable it in the Melodyne Preferences as well as on the page that your browser launches. Hope this helps.
