No but seriously, teaching abroad you make a lot. Once you're all settled there's not many day to day expenses. Especially if you're good on a budget. I make $1600 a month in China plus part time gigs and spend about 200. Or less. Saving for a huuuuuge Europe trip starting in February, hoping I'll have about 10k saved up! It's so doable. All about being smart!
@megmeginchinamcghee69097 жыл бұрын
Rusty Shackleford I went through a recruiter, honestly you don't need to. I'd just stalk DavesESLCafe. Find destinations you're interested in and ask questions till you can't ask anymore. Remember if you're going to make less than $1200 a month, it's not worth it no matter where it is (unless it's Europe, in which case you'll probably break even every month regardless)

Your outro is still good but maybe try a different adjective other than "awesome"? I always feel weird saying "awesome" lol I don't know why, and maybe that's why it's hard getting used to it for you. "Stay beautiful" sounds nice and warm and goes with your positive/uplifting message, but it does make me think of makeup vloggers. "Stay lifted"? Sounds like it's good for folks who get high lmao but it's nice too. Idk just throwing ideas out there :)

Girl! that intro was cool! Well done! Want to add a note for prospective teachers... Rent is not "free" it is worked into your salary or cost as a teacher ie you get paid less than an average teacher. Also, Pension is not available for all nationalities upon leaving Korea. If you are Canadian or American you should have no problem. If you are from anywhere else you would probably have to travel back to Korea when you are 60+ if you want to get that pension... Bummer Thanks for all the tips! I will be traveling after my time in Korea as well! So excited! Good luck on your adventures! Can't wait to see your journey! Also super cute hair style ^^ @ariwanders

I'm trying to go to Thailand next month. I'm worried about the the heat and humidity, but my friend is going and I want to join her. Any suggestions for things to do, watch out for or places to go while there?
@Inayah-jy8qb7 жыл бұрын
OhKei! 옿케이 just go for it, you won't regret it. I went alone last february and I had an amazing time. I traveled from bangkok to krabi, and from there I visited koh lanta and Koh Phi Phi. I loved everything of it. It is save for those who are traveling solo. I am not a partyanimal, so I stayed at place where it is less commercial. If your staying in krabi, I advice you to stay in krabi town, its more quiet than Ao Nang. Koh Lanta is also a quiet place, koh phi phi has beautiful sight seeing such as the viewpoint, Bamboo island, maya bay, long beach and monkey island. The infrastucture is very good and the people are very friendly. They are always willing to help you. Don't worry about the heat, there is always airco or a fin and in the south of Thailand your always near the beach, depending where you are staying. You will enjoy your time in Thailand! Have a fun trip!
@MelodyAlisa7 жыл бұрын
I went in August and yesss it'll be toasty lol but it's not unbearable! If you're going to Bangkok, eat EVERYTHING! I tried just about every street food stall I came across and it all was so delicious and CHEAP. As for sights in Bangkok, definitely the temples! Skip the floating market, it's more of a tourist thing now, try Khao San Road for drinks/ clubs. If you go to Phuket, just beach it up every. single. day. Also, rent a scooter and explore! You can't really get lost bc the island is only so big. There's a giant Buddha on top of a mountain - great views and a really fun ride up!
@HeyOhKei7 жыл бұрын
Awesome! Thanks for sharing. ^^ P.S. -- Was what you said about the pension in your other video really real? LOL Am I to expect that kind paycheck when I finish working here? (I'm in Korea now.)

@MelodyAlisa7 жыл бұрын
twelve per year contract but in Korean culture - you don't call in sick unless you're dying so I don't know any foreigner that used all twelve because it looks really bad. I probably used maybe 5 or 6 between my 3 schools.
