Agreed, he's barbaric but he does it for his people. Him and Reptile get the short end at times. Reptile doesnt classify as Evil, he wants a chance to bring back his race and to save his people before Shao Kahn subjugated and killed them. Baraka is used as a brute rather than someone who looks after his own clan but knows only war since he was only pushed to be that way.
