I do have a very long tbr for this month. I edit it almost daily based on my mood and I’ve been doing this all year. It’s important to remind yourself that your tbr is a guide and is not permanent. You can change it up as you go ❤

i'm a mood reader through-and-through - my biggest tip for avoiding reading slumps is always having a short story collection on the go. I basically read a book, do a short story, then pick up whatever I feel next. if i still can't decide i just keep reading short stories until my feelings catch up. 10/10 recommend, works every time.

I use my TBR jar a bit differently. I usually choose a theme for the month. For example, I had Pride June, Sci-fi July, Literary August, etc. Then I choose about 10-15 books I'd like to read and add them to my TBR jar, and the jar decides which ones I'll read that month 😁

I just recently jumped onto the band wagon of the TBR jar and I love it so far. My youngest son (6) loves to pick the prompts for me and his sister. I use this to get my library books and home TBR books read and so far its worked pretty good. The book I'm looing forward to reading is a buddy read of Hooked with my daughter this month.

I do a star TBR jar for mine- which i pull 1-8 picks that are books I bought this year, and then picking one book from a prompt and one from a series so that way I can try and stay ahead of my TBR- though it doesn’t always work since I’m a pretty big mood reader. What about a "second" jar filled with the rest of the prompts to have as some sort of backup? The backup jar for when you want to mix it up and renew the prompts you have on the main tbr jar. Or to use when you get a prompt that you've already done in the past, for example.

I think it would be good to focus more on completing the prompt than reading the books on the TBR. That way, you can still dnf, mood read, and still feel motivated to read whatever fulfills a challenge.
