Honestly the wait pissed me off because I knew Tsukohime Remake wasn't getting an English release and this game which supposedly is to promote the remake comes out a month after. This has been a very "wth" experience for me but I am glad we all made it!

This video confirms one huge thing that weakens MD Moon Skill clash frames. You can cancel them into MD and in a previous video we saw clashes being canceled into shield. Moon Drive Skills clash frames seem to act as regular clash frames meaning if someone Moon Drives on wake up and you clash with their Moon Skill you can shield their Moon Skill every time through your meaty. Very interesting, definitely something you're going to want to get used to early on, or you will struggle

@@egrassa1480 even if they could shield after having their moon skill shielded (idk for sure that you can't yet) it would create a 50/50 where the person either jumps cancels or reverse shields. If they jump cancel they get hit by Shield Counter but avoids the grounded punish. If they reverse shield they can get ground punished but shields Shield Counter. That's if you can shield it in the first place, the advantage would be the initial shielder's because they risk less and gain more

@@bluemoon9683 She seems to have a chargeable teleport on block where you don’t even see any indication of the teleport. You’re blocking low, and then suddenly, she’s in the air. Even knowing she has that, it’s quite fast, and I can’t stress this enough: _there’s no indication that she’s moving/teleporting._ (besides the green charge, that is) She’s just…in the air suddenly lol.

Now I'm here for the last notation (I think). It was fun writing these. 0:13 I like the aesthetic of the stage, sunset is always good. Also why do you gotta roast us like that Arcueid? 0:22 Arc sees Kouma running around trying to hit her so she tries to stop him with the disc, but that left her open for Kouma to crossunder and punish the disc after she lands. 0:27 Kouma tried to get oki with an armored move, but Arcueid did a wakeup moon drive, kouma reacted to that with a moon drive of his own, canceling that armoured move before it even went active, both afraid that any of them could get punished for throwing a move with the risk of being shielded, both jumped away but Arcueid did while also throwing discs, just in case if Kouma decided to run up instead. 0:30 after the discs Kouma thought it was a great opportunity to to run up, so he closed the distance by doing so while also using a lariat like move, but Arcueid has an invincible command dash? So she went right trough it. Lucky him he didn't got punished for that but gave time to Arcueid to run up. 0:31 Arcueid tried to catch him with a wall to stop him because of how big the wll is but Kouma was able to jump above it. It looked like she could've gotten punished by that but Kouma didn't went for it, instead he jumped back and foot dived, and that was minus enough for Arc to punish with a throw, that we haven't seen much of, but Arc's throw sent him so far, wasn't hard knockdown and she wasn't in that much advantage, is only her throw that's bad like this midscreen? Also I counted and the throw startup was 6 frames. 0:34 she tried to get some oki out of the throw and went for her overhead I think? But as I said, she didn't had much advantage so Kouma command grabbed her, and that gave him a lot of advantage to work with, but Arc woke up with her reversal and it worked, so she went for the air combo and finished by throwing him closer to the corner. 0:43 now *here* she had advantage to work with, so she went for the overhead again and Kouma didn't had time to mash out the command grab like he did before, so he had to block. Also, her overhead had armor, so that's why Kouma went for the grab, so it would go through it, nice. She got to reverse beat that and catched his jump afterwards, and she got a combo. 0:48 she saved her air options with that combo, meaning that she sacrificed some damage she could've gotten with a double jump and instead went for oki with a frame kill aerial and then disc, and she seemed to be plus after that (it wouldn't have made sense going for that if she wasn't). She went for sort of a slow move, maybe trying to frame trap, but that gap for the trap allowed Kouma to sneak in an invincible reversal, that is a command grab also, that left him pretty plus for knockdown pressure but got heated away. 0:55 Kouma tried to dodge anything with the jump, but nothing came his way, only Arcueid dashing, so he thought it was good to try and hit her before she could do anything, but he got stopped right on his tracks as Arcueid was faster dan him by throwing her double discs. She confirmed it into ex so she would get some damage but that also put her close enough to Kouma so she could do her arc drive from heat, so she burned all of her meter for that, and it was worth it since she got the round because of it. Sick. Also hella cool pose on the background at 0:59. 1:13 as a grappler, Kouma tries to get close up but Arcueid just ran away and started zoning him with the air discs, that look strong because of the angle it covers and because of how big it is. 1:15 Kouma tried to armor through the disc, missed the disc but followed it up anyway with a dash into command grab. Why did Arc runned in if she was trying to zone? Did she saw the armor and thought it was slow enough for her to punish? Instead she got command grabbed. 1:18 Kouma went for a fake crossup with a same side, got shielded, Arcueid wnet for the follow up, Kouma canceled his move with a special that clashed with Arc's follow up, dashed away and went for a late move while jumping that came right before his landing, so there would be (I believe) no recovery and would've catched her if she ran in trying to punish his landing, but instead of running in, she jumped and put herself in a perfect position so the disc would completely cover the corner, Kouma tried to anti-air her and missed but recovered fast enough so he woundn't be punished, but the disc Arc threw was so good, it covered his late jump, giving Arc her turn to run in and start pressure. So much in just 4 second oh my. 1:22 there was a big enough gap for Kouma to shield and follow up, but Arcueid went for a low recovery move making her able to very fast recover and shield his follow up, but the same thing go for Kouma, as he shield follow up also had low recovery, so he shielded Arcueid's follow up, and to stop the cycle from repeating itself, he went for the crossup follow up and Arcueid didn't reacted fast enough to shield or antiair, puting her in the corner where Kouma started his pressure. 1:25 he went for the armor stance, then dash (I assume he's plus here), then EX command grab, but Arcueid jumped (maybe a fuzzy jump) an punished the whiffed grab with a falling aerial. She went for a crossup move mid combo and that gave her the corner. 1:32 similar thing to 0:48, but instead of using the discs after the frame kill, she air dashed into an aerial, maybe because she didn't wanted to bait a shield, as there's the risk of loosing your turn, but it still looked like there was a gap for Kouma to shield, but if shield isn't frame one, then the gap might've not been too big for it. She cancelled a normal into moon drive, and i believe Kouma was in blockstun because of the normal beforehand, so Arc had a lot of advantage to work with and probably tried to frame trap with the same slow move as she used in 0:48, and she didn't got shielded this time. 1:36 She went for the overhead, got blocked and then ended the string with the wall, that seems safe but it put her so close to him that there was the risk of her getting grabbed. Instead of grabbing her Kouma went for the foot dive, got shielded but he went for moon drive after the shield, and during the freeze, he saw that Arc had already went for the follow up, so he shielded it and punished her landing. He went for a combo with the armor stance then the dash follow up to crossup and keep corner and ended with the command grab. I like the amount of shield counter play that is being shown in this vid. They shield as a very strong mechanic (that still seems to be) and now they are showing ways of beating it. 1:43 as the grab gives him a lot of advantage he was able to go for an empty crossup into low, giving him another combo, burning Arcueid's moon drive timer. He went for another crossup mid combo to keep corner then ended with the EX grab, that gives him more advantage than before. 1:50 was this the lighter version of the command grab? It does less damage, awful to keep pressure as it sends them really far and Kouma doen't have much advantage afterwards, but it's faster so harder to react. So he might've used it to get a kill but it wasn't close enough to death, so he just has to chase her down. And he tries with an IAD, bu it whiffs and Arcueid tries to punish it with discs. 1:54 She looked at the amount of recoverable health and wanted to heat, the best place to heat is when under pressure where you can just take them away from you, but she had so little life that if she got hit before or during pressure, she would've died before even heating, but she didn't wanted to do it in neutral because she could've been punish, so instead she runs in and heats hoping that it would hit him, and it did hit while Kouma was crossing up. And that heat put him in heavy knockdown, so not only she gets to start her turn, she also recovers her health. 1:55 she did those discs either because she didn't had time to run up and meaty, or she wanted to stay away avoiding a reversal and buying some time so she can heal, with those disc she locked him up then she starts zoning him out covering the area with discs, and then aerials. 1:59 expecting for Arcueid to start her turn after the landing as she had already hit him midair, Kouma shields but timed it wrong, so when Arc truly lands, she waits fot the shield to finish and then she punished. 2:00 That arc drive is questionable. Maybe using right at the beginning of a combo is better due to damage scaling, it would've been better to wait a little to use it, as she hasn't fully healed yet, maybe doing a rejump and after she lands she goes for it, so she had more time to heal, but she chose to go for damage, and even so, Kouma could've heated and if Arcueid didn't baited ir, he would've healed fully, so that was a big gamble. 2:05 staggering with light normals so if he shields she can shield it right back or to block a heat while in blockstun maybe. She then went for the reverse beat, creating some distance but instead of trying to whiff punish a normal, catch a jump etc. she just wnet for the wall and missed, luckily, Kouma went for a shield and missed. After that awkard interaction, they both jump, Arcueid by running away and throwing the disc so it hits Kouma trying to run in and Kouma dashing in trying to hit her. None of them hit eachother. 2:09 Arcueid sees Kouma jumping and tried to air to air but before she even reached him, Kouma foot dived stoping arc from dashing and then getting a combo and confirming into Arc drive, taking the round. My comment is too big again so I'll continue in the replies.

Here again 2:28 Kouma tries to close up but Arcueid runs way 2:30 Kouma uses armor > dash follow up and then a button to close the distance and start offense but gets countered by Arc's disc and she gets a combo. 2:34 Acueid ends with an EX so she has way more advantage than her air throw that already is pretty advantageous. Then she goes for a fake crossup with a same side overhead and after that grounded normal she went for a teleport like move? Kouma tried to shield through her buttons but she teleported away then air dashed back in punishing the shield and getting a cool combo. That teleport has quite a bit of startup, so maybe you can react and anti-air? 2:44 she saved her air options again, but instead of either shielding or air dashing into button, she landed and again used that teleport, this time she remained on the ground and went for a low, Kouma had time to do something but he kept patient. It seems to be reactable whatever she does after the teleport, it's just a bit confusing to me and I don't really know why. 2:46 probably a frame trap and she confirmed that it was blocked so she went for the discs (that do quite a bit of chip), and the pushback was just perfect enough so that she can corner pressure him while also keeping a safe distance by first jumping back and throwing the double air discs, covering most of Kouma's options on the ground, even a porly timed armor stance, but here she covered him jumping and trying to hit her (Maybe if he airdashed he could've hit her?) sending him back to the ground, then as Kouma's aerial approach didn't worked, Arcueid tjinks that this time Kouma might want to approach from the ground, so she dashes and throws a button hoping she would hit him running, but Kouma went through the air again. Afraid of being hit, Arc jumps away while pressing buttons just in case that Kouma jumps after her, which he doesn't, so she throws a disc to stop him from running, but it gets shielded. 2:51 that shield was very active, so he can just shield pretty much every projectile like this? If arc isn't there close enough to punish him, he just gets that for free? Why hasn't he been doing this? He wasn't on a good enough position to do it everytime? Because wan't in a good position to punish it. Maybe it's because of the low reward, since from that far no follow ups will hit other than the crossup one, and because that's the only one that reaches, it's easy to see it coming, and so it would also be easy to see an EX that reaches pretty far (if you're able to cancel shield into ex without moon drive, wich I don't think you can). Anyway, he did went for the crossup follow up and Arc didn't antiaired, she tried to backdash it but she got caught. She recovered away from Kouma wich sadly it was toward the corner but luckily Kouma didn't saw her doing that so he just dashed away from the corner, that is what he tought she was going to go, and tried an armored poke, that whiffs but instead of punishing it, Arc just dashes away from the corner. Kouma dashes to try and catch her, Arc sees it and tries to anti-air, but kouma jumped so she missed, Kouma a bit randomly tried to go for the armored move, maybe he tought that he wasn't going to crossup and that he would reach her, but it missed and Arcueid got to punish that, ending the hell that it was that segment that lasted for 6 seconds but felt like much more. 2:59 she didn't went for knockdown, maybe she tought that she could get away with more damage and still catch him afterwards by throwing a disc expecting him to recover away so that would reach him, unfortunately he recovered upwards, so she moon drived to keep herself safe and Kouma did it aswell just so Arc wouldn't get to him that easily. Arc went for the wrong read to where Kouma was going to land as he dashed to the other side, so she tried to air dash in and catch him, but missed. Kouma jumps away to avoid being put in pressure, Arc chased him and hoped she would antiair with her grounded button (unblockable), but missed and Kouma catched her sleeping doing nothing with the foot dive, he got a combo from it. 3:10 and for oki he did an IAD overhead, he probably tought that the overhead wouldn't hit because he commited to the command grab, but the hitstun wasn't enough to mess him up as he timed that properly and used the last bit of meter that he had to get one more knockdown, sadly he didn't got to do anything from it s Arcueid Heated him away (surprised that he wasn't expecting for that). 3:16 Arc tried to keep him away, but she immediately changed plans and air dashed towards him as if she suddenly turned into a rushdown, but she got *hard read* by Kouma as he also air dashed and immediately air throwed her, the he started his pressure. 3:20 reminds me of what is like to be playing against ZBroly in DBFZ, you see the command grab incoming because it's a bit slow, you react to it by mashing your guts out, but you forgot that thing has armor, so you get stuffed by it. Those were not good memories. Lucky Arc that he did the weaker command grab that just resets neutral. That grab looks so bad if you don't cancel into an EX for knockdown, maybe he tought he would get enough meter from it so he could get knockdown, well, he tought wrong and now has to chase her again. 3:23 Arcueid desperately tries to zone him out, Kouma shields and again, the only follow up that would reach was the crossup, so if you're zonig someone out, you have to be ready for it. Sadly enough, Arcueid wasn't able to anti air that as that thing was a punish, seems that you have to be pretty careful while zoning in this game because of the shield. Kouma begins his turn. 3:25 that was a *lot* of chip. Speaking of so, can you die by chip in this game or is it like street fighter? 3:26 Arc shields trough the gap but the follow up clashes with another move from Kouma. He jumps in at her, but instead of trying to chase him, She instead messes him up by crossing under and then hitting him and taking the game with the autocombo. 3:30 man lost and he kept laughing, what a man. 3:32 she had a different body? That's the last one I assume. Altough these were very fun to analyse and comment, I cannot deny that these are pretty tiring and time consuming, so while I'm a bit sad that we won't get more of these (I think), I am just in a bit of a relief, but then again, I did this to myself, I could've been like anyone else and just watched the vid and comment something like "the ost is sick", or "the graphics are sick", "the stages are sick", "this character is sick", or even "this whole game is sick", but nope, I had to do the different thing. These were also good practices for my english writing, as english is not my native language so it's good to practice with long texts like this (now if only I got to practice my speech abilities with someone in person...) Only in two days the game is released and I am *really* hoping that everyone, including me, get to enjoy this game a lot for years to come. This was a fun journey, bye everyone.

Tsukihime remake information:- TYPE-MOON were planning on releasing Tsukihime in 2014, but most of their energies eventually turned to FGO. They sort-of restarted production on Tsukihime in 2017, but Takuechi and Nasu were still mostly busy at the time. By the summer of 2020 they returned to production in earnest. Nero was replaced by Vlov for a few reasons. Mostly, Nero status as a special-case was inappropriate now that vampires like that are a dime-a-dozen. Also, Nasu considers Nero too strong to be a mere mid-boss type of character. Arcueid's new outfits. The heat-resistance outfit was something Nasu and Takuechi came up with together, but the date clothes are something Takuechi just suddenly pushed into Nasu's lap. Though they decided for newcomer voice actors for the main characters, they intentionally cast most of the other characters with veterans to offset this. Still, they are very happy with everyone's performances. Noto Mamiko's performance as Arach was originally even more energetic than the final product. There's a reason why Shiki could destroy Roa's feet together with the corridor in the final battle of Arc route. Adding onto this, Nasu says that many surely thought it odd that there only was 1 ending to Arcueid route. A lot of the stuff for the Church and Mage's Association was done in preparation for Tsukihime R, and was intended to come out together with it in 2014. But due to circumstances, Sanda's Case Files came out before Tsukihime R, so a lot of the stuff for the Church was never released despite the Mage's association parts being released. Ciel's 7th Holy Scripture is a tank. There are many parts of it that have yet to be glimpsed. Ciel can use the weapon due to her incredible reserve of magical energy. Even among all the monsters in the Mage's Association, she is by far the one with the biggest capacity. That said, capacity is not all when it comes to magecraft. It is usual to think of the True Ending as such, but Nasu hints that there is more to Ciel's Normal Ending than there is to the True Ending. Vlov's story is not yet done. Of course, there are a few things more that will be revealed about him in Melty Blood, but his role in Tsukihime is not yet done. The "Textures" that appear in FGO was a concept originally developed for Tsukihime R as an answer to the question of how to negate civilization on the planet's surface. The difference between the Fate worlds and the Tsukihime world is whether Human Order is strong (Fate) or weak (Tsukihime). One could also think of it as the story of the Mage's Association (Fate) and the Holy Church (Tsukihime) as well. There are additional plans for the Dead Apostle Ancestors. Though perhaps not directly, maybe 1/3rd of them will be introduced in Tsukihime. Sasaki Shounen did the layouts/storyboards for the major fights in the Ciel Route (vs Vlov, vs Noel, Calvaria's Star). Calvaria's Star is about as strong as Excalibur (though its usage is very different). It might be correct to think of it as one of the peaks of magecraft. As for the Far Side routes, there will be 4 of them, including Satsuki. As for now, they have not entered production yet, but currently TYPE-MOON's focus are the climax of FGO part 2 and the Far Side of Tsukihime. None of the new routes will probably be as massive as Ciel Route, however. They thought of doing a Steam port of Tsukihime R, but Nasu wants it to have a translation in that case. Getting the game translated to other languages is very difficult and has always been a hurdle for them putting out games in other regions. There are no concrete plans for Tsukihime 2, but Nasu thinks he'd like it to be an open world RPG. Credits go to Petrikow from BL for translating
