Simple Is Best - 13 (Pimp your Pour)

In this Simple Is Best video I'm working on a 20"x16" Arteza canvas. I use the Wreck A Ring technique by Molly's Artistry / molhot0605 and it worked out great. Then I used a black sharpie permanent marker to pimp my dried pour and bring out those lines even more. LOVE THIS!

Once you were done, it looked 3D. The area to the middle right part of the canvas looks like its coming up off of the canvas. So cool! Love, love, love it!

Wow! Check out the amazing depth and beautiful lines you created here! This was taken to another level in great lengths and color! Contrasting in light and dark you take it to 3D in bold black lines, leaving pools of undisturbed warm colors! In its busy simplicity, I love it to pieces! lol

Hi MelyD. Very clever the black provided the piece with more definition, as you said it made the colours pop. Also it gave a certain 3D effect and broke up all the colours and made up for the lack of negative space. The white became whiter which was needed

I have a lot of colored markers, that’s a great idea! Also, the spot you said looks like u touched it, was a drip! U dropped 1 drip as u pulled the cup away, most ppl freak out about a drip, but look how cool it turned out!

I love it! I love the colours and I love the wreck a ring pour and the effects it creates (I really must try that one!) and the sharpie made it really come alive. I've done this with acrylic paint pens but never thought of just using a regular sharpie...this turned out amazing, i love negative space! people under value it . I recently got a 48x48 canvas this might work great on! Great job Melissa!!
