Hello Cath! I’ve enjoyed this video. Thank you for sharing! Your Myosotis dress looks beautiful on you and summery as well. I agree it may look nice with a dark cropped cardigan or dark cropped jacket worn with dark tights and your black ankle boots. Also, it may look nice with your red sandals, your hair picked up and sunglasses on warmer days. Hope this helps 😊

I’m glad you enjoyed the video 😊 Thank you yes those are good plans for styling the Myosotis, I haven’t tried it with my red sandals, I’ll definitely give that a go soon 😊

I recognised the bodice of the Myosotis. Probably because I too made it in a check- aRobert Kaufman flannel. Love yours. Yep, the check matching does take time.

The navy jacket looks nice over the bright checks, but as I think on it, you'd get a lot of wear out of a dark solid colored cropped quilted jacket. A piece like that would go with all the items you wore in this video. Cropped to your natural waist, it would compliment your high waisted jeans and skirts as well as your cinched in dresses. I love the belt added to your shirt dress. I did the same thing with a Rhapsody hack I made a couple of years ago. I ended up wearing it with a wide elastic belt for the exact reason you mention. It's unfortunate you don't have space to hang your woven tops so you could iron them as they are laundered. It eliminates the rush of dressing in the mornings.

Thank you yes I think you’re right, a dark coloured cropped quilted jacket would be a great piece that i would get a lot of wear out of. Yes I would love a bit more hanging space! Maybe one day

I love your checked Myosotis dress. I think it looks great on you without a jacket. It would also look good with a cropped cardigan or a dark denim jacket. I think it was the color of the light denim which didn't suit the dress.

Hello! Your Saraste is such a lovely dress and the fabric is stunning on you. You really suit that shirt dress look and the fit is spot on. I have to say that I’ve never been a fan of the Closet Core Kalle, but seeing it belted looks so good on you. I really think it was quite flattering on you.

I think you’re on the right track with a cropped jacket for the bright colored dress. Go for a simple tradition silhouette. Try black or charcoal grey. Flannel jacket might work great for an autumn outfit with tights and boots .

I think navy goes well with your plaid Myosotis dress. I think a waist-length cropped cardi would be the best option to go with the silhouette of the skirt of the dress. I don't think the colors are too loud or bright at all. And you did such fine work on the dress! I'm really enjoying hearing your thought process on each of the garments, so I can apply similar thoughts to my wardrobe. Thanks!

Hi Cath, I’m enjoying your me made May. I love your checked dress, I don’t think it was any brighter than your kalle dress or the blue one at the end. I think if you are wearing black tights then a black cardigan or jacket would look nice over the top, or with red sandals but I actually think the red and green are quite Christmassy too. The blue dress at the end of the video is lovely and exactly what I’ve been looking to make so I will investigate the book you mentioned. (I remember you making all of the outfits in todays video) Looking forward to the rest of me made May!

I really like the bright Myosotis, but think that when paired with those black tights, it works best with darker things, like the dark blue jacket. I think it would also look lovely with those black sandals you wore with the Kalle dress (I think). I love the fact that Named have given a lot of their patterns Finnish names, but I can imagine they're a bit of a mouthful, if you aren't used to the glut of vowels or hugely long compound words 😄

I know you’ve discussed colour seasons before but I really think you are a Winter! That beautiful Myosotis has so much red and yellow which is sort of all wrong for that palette, might be why you don’t feel amazing in it? Or why it doesn't gel with your closet which is mostly cool colours? I would definitely pair it with something green because that pine green colour is a Winter colour. A dark green cardigan would really help! Or even a chunky scarf so that those yellows and reds are not so close to your face. The stripe matching on that dress is amazing!
@madebycathcraft

Thank you, I was really happy with how the stripe matching turned out! That’s a good thought re the colours in the myosotis thanks. Dark green would work really well!

Your darker jacket better suits the Myosotis dress, but to me, and via my screen, it appears that a couple of shades in the dress just don't work as well with your coloring. You have other things that are bright, but feature cooler tones. It's a beautiful dress and you can wear it better with a "friendlier" color around your shoulders. -Kelly
