That looks delicious! We’ll have to try it! Oh, and I have you beat on small towns! My husband and I grew up in southern Oklahoma, and my home town had about 90 people! My husband’s - the county seat - had about 1,200!!! In fact back then we only had about 5,000 in the entire county! We left after we finished college in 1973 and the area has grown a little, but still very small! 😊

You can always use thawed, frozen green beans instead of the canned. They aren't as cooked and soft. I like the color better too.

We do a veggie casserole that’s similar but we use 2 large cans Veg-All (drained), one can sliced water chestnuts, 1 can cream of celery, 1 cup Dukes Mayo, bag shredded cheddar. Mix all together and cook til bubbly. Top with French fried onions.

My wife has one of those tools you showed sent in by a viewer. She uses it to mix, stir and like a spatula. She loves hers. The darker end is for scooping and scraping and the other end is for spreading and stirring

MeMe we share the bottom rack cooking... maybe it is a Southern thing? The only difference is that I keep my top rack in the highest position and only move it if I need to broil something or cook two things in my oven at the same time.
