My husband’s - the county seat - had about 1,200!!! In fact back then we only had about 5,000 in the entire county! We left after we finished college in 1973 and the area has grown a little, but still very small! 😊

We do a veggie casserole that’s similar but we use 2 large cans Veg-All (drained), one can sliced water chestnuts, 1 can cream of celery, 1 cup Dukes Mayo, bag shredded cheddar. Mix all together and cook til bubbly. Top with French fried onions.

You can always use thawed, frozen green beans instead of the canned. They aren't as cooked and soft. I like the color better too.

MeMe we share the bottom rack cooking... maybe it is a Southern thing? The only difference is that I keep my top rack in the highest position and only move it if I need to broil something or cook two things in my oven at the same time.
