Meme's Vegetable Beef Soup

My grandmother, Meme, would make this for us during the cooler months. It's so easy to make and goes great with some cornbread or saltine crackers. You can make it either on the stove-top or slow cooker (and probably the instant pot). Let me know if y'all try it and if you also have a favorite recipe passed down from a grandma!
Vegetable Beef Soup:
beef stew meat, cut up small
1-2 cans V8 (tomato juice)
2 cans veg-all, drained
1 can diced tomatoes, with juices
1-2 cups frozen, cut okra
macaroni
salt and pepper to taste
For the slow cooker:
Place meat in slow cooker and season with salt and pepper. Cover with water or broth. Add in all other ingredients except for macaroni. Cook on low 7-8 hours or high 4 hours. One hour before serving, add in one to two handfuls of uncooked macaroni. Cover and let cook until pasta is done. Serve with some cornbread or crackers! Enjoy!

I miss my grandmother very much as well. I wish I knew how my nana made her amazing biscuits. It kills me I didn't learn how to make them. I love this and relate SO much! I was extremely close with my grandma before she passed away when I was 14. She taught me how to cook and 22 years after she passed, I'm still cooking her recipes and doing things in her honor (tattoo, my child's middle name, etc). She was the perfect grandma and as an adult I see in her old pictures that were almost identical. Such a special bond I had, so I can certainly understand yours! So glad you're back to making videos, I know I was one of those IG commenters asking when you would again 🙂❤

Loved everything about this video! I've been trying to get my dad's recipes written down for a long while now. He never actually went off of a paper recipe though so it's taking some trial and error in regards to measurements haha. It does encourage you to just drive in and experiment though! I've stopped adding any type of pasta directly to soup because it sucks ups all the broth, especially if you have left overs. Now I cook separately and put some in a bowl and add soup on top as needed.

HERE IS A CASSEROLE TO TRY 1LB ground beef cooked drained & then 1 jar of Prego original added to the beef and heated 1 bag nacho cheese Doritos crushed in bag little pieces 1 large bag mozzarella cheese great value low moisture in casserole dish-oval- layer Prego mix chips then mozzarella ending w/mozzarella on top put in oven cook until cheese melts to your liking 400Degrees-20-30? min-dont burn cheese though Doritos casserole-- everyone loves it

Where I live, in Goa, India- we mix as many types of meats as possible- beef, pork, chicken, mutton with the macaroni and we also put in a little milk. It's a favorite here. Meat stew :D

Kat yep. Either tomato juice or diced tomatoes in juice or crushed stewed tomatoes. Very common in the south.
