Well she points down range and rapid firing lost control to the right. To the right about 300yrds was a unoccupied house. Well needless to say one round found its way through the front metal door, then through the living room, then through the bathroom and out the other side. Full metal jacket wrnt straight through the house at 300yrds. How we found out was the man who lived there returned home and found the holes and contacted the police. In return the police contacted us because they knew we shot there alot. So we met the man he was nice about it he said he knew one day this might happen because he had the house built in a popular shooting and hunting area. We paid for the door and closed down the range for good. So needless to say a sks round with full metal jacket will go straight through a house.

As a veterinarian Matt is unusually well equipped to answer both those questions

That was hilarious when you guys were painting the target on the house you sounded like Beavis and Butthead with the giggle laughter. Priceless.

wow I did not expect a .22 9mm round to have that much penetration! it really shows that these smaller rounds still pack a punch, and that modern walls are really made out of wet paper and chewed gum.

This video on top of being just fun and entertaining, is a very good example on how critical it is know what's beyond your target in home defense type situations. Most modern houses are paper thin and seeing how far even just a 9mm went is crazy.

reminds me of a house i went to look at with a buddy , similar open spaces , no attic , it needed everything when i looked it over , but i knew how and what i'd use . It needed the carpet tossed , new subfloor , the walls stripped and the ceiling was some plastic sheet stuff , i'd strip that house out to 2 by's and use foamboard atleast 4" wall and 6" ceiling atleast for the space and humidity , durability , cement board, and fiberglass screen like EFOS, stucco over some spots , it needed everything though counters, bathroom , foundation stuff sort of ...it's easy after experience , testing stuff ....

I have a house with 6" of reinforced concrete... I'm guessing only the .50 AP rounds will have a chance of making it through that.
