As someone who loved reading as a kid and is only now making an attempt to get back into it, I HIGHLY recommend The Inheritance Games Series. All of the chapters are like 1-6 pages long and they’re sooooo hard to put down because every chapter ends on a cliffhanger.

Back when we read things that were exciting and new (to us). Now we understand tropes, writing quality, repetitive/generic storytelling, and those things have thoroughly robbed us of our enjoyment. Man, why does everything in the adult world have to take itself so seriously 😞
