I really feel like the closest thing I would want to Unus Annus 2 would be like... just a channel dedicated to the kind of strange, off the wall live action content that they did there before but like... whenever they felt like it. btw we don't need an unus annus 2, all we want is to see some more content with you and Mark (which you have already begun to grace us with once again and I thank you, the glue video was hilarious), your chemistry is simply the best fun to watch, it doesn't matter what you're doing, it could be crazy silly activities or just like the videos you had to do during lockdown where you did challenges with each other on video call, and just had long philosophical discussions. It's really not the channel we crave, it's the two of you and the way you two chose to run with your mannerisms when working together, the way you improv off each other, all of it is perfect. And it's the same reason I like watching Mark, Bob and Wade play games even if it's a boring game I would never play, that chemistry and that "gooing-off-with-my-friends like when it was high school" energy is addicting.

I still feel that if they made too many videos in pretty much the exact same style as Unus Annus (like the glue video), it would still defeat the purpose of UA. Like, "UA is dead but you can still expect one video exactly like that about once a month" would make me feel that being there for UA was not as special. So I think "Mark and Eef do random shit together" videos should be very few and far between for the rest of time. You had chance and time to experience that wonderful chemistry and improv, but now it's gone and you can never go back. But this is just my personal opinion after all.

That’s why I loved Unus Annus. It’s that “just hanging out and having fun” energy that I love. It’s also why I love watching Bob Mark and Wade play games and why Distractible is great, it’s Mark, Bob, and Wade just doing a podcast and having fun. The feeling of missing Unus Annus and wishing it wasn't gone, is one of the most important emotions it's meant to evoke. If people get their wish, it can't evoke that emotion anymore. It will go from being this fleeting, ephemeral part of your life that you can only look back upon, never re-experience... to something completely expected, which will eventually overstay its welcome. Unus Annus can never overstay its welcome. It showed up with a promise to disappear, and then disappeared.

You're the ones who made it special, and all the things we love about you two as creators are still there as you work individually on your own projects. On the one hand, Eef, this was a hilarious and wonderful video. I absolutely asked for these memes, and they were exactly as serotonin-charged as I'd hoped they'd be. We've never met, but you're one of my favorite people. On the other hand, everyone who thinks Unus Annus is coming back missed the point of Unus Annus. The point of Unus Annus was that nothing on this Earth lasts forever. Life runs through us, we get old, and we die. It was a beautiful representation of living every day as if it was your last, and to bring it back would be to do it a gross disservice. Cherish the memories, watch the fun compilations of Eef not being able to talk (tbh, best part of UA), but let it go. That was its whole purpose.

i'm grateful i was there for the entirety of UA & of course i miss it, but it's exhausting when people are quite literally beating a dead horse. the whole point of UA was to appreciate life, be in the moment, and that everything is temporary. death is what gives life meaning- memento mori, but also memento vivere. let unus annus rest in piece! plus, prior to UA mark had the whole "markiplier makes" which had very similar UA energy. maybe we'll see a reunion :)

I don't really want a second Unus Annus, but an idea I had a while back was, like, what if they did "Una Septimana", which is Latin for One Week, where they just randomly get together for a week and do Unus Annus style videos? I'm glad lots of comments are saying how they don't want another Unus Annus (a Twonus Annus, if you will). Unus Annus is dead, and having it again really would defeat the purpose. It was great while it lasted, Memento Mori! Also, literally, I think it would be incredibly hard for anyone to pull that off again. Of course, having Ethan and Mark do stuff together (like the glue video) would be great. But the beauty of KZbin is that even if they decide to hate each other and never make another video together again, we still have old videos to watch. And the memory of Unus Annus!!
