Even after he growled at her, they were still touching. Maple exceeded his boundaries but with time, who knows what might happen. This was precious 💖, to see them that close. Thanks for sharing, was so sweet to see! ❤

So very close! And Piko's display could have been much larger. He didn't continue to strike or try to bite her. And Maple didn't look distressed either. I'm going to keep hoping for more acceptance.

Just admire God's work for a moment. Mr Bond, acts like he is Licensed to Kill, but deep, deep down, he's a softie ‼️ And Maple, just wants love and acceptance from him. It's coming. He'd miss her is she wasn't there. Love your garden as it's waking up 🌿🥀 Mine too (in England).

Piko had lost his mind falling asleep and forgot who he was. Ha! That was temporary, but I hope it gets better for the both of them.

From my own personal experience, I found it very difficult to introduce another cat to a resident cat. Went through all the steps and Feliway stuff with zero success. Resident cat lost his buddy due to a UTI event that went VERY bad. Our resident cat is a LOVE BUG a larger version of Maple. The new cats I tried, ATTACKED OUR RESIDENT CAT VISIOUSLY. I think one month of trying per cat is enough. Probably not socialized cats. Do I just give up? So, heartbreaking to return cats back to the shelter. Bad luck I guess.

So sorry you're having this experience. It does take time. Maybe your senior would do better with a kitten. Find a place where he can meet them first?
