Thanks for sharing, Len. This is America at her best. My town had a Memorial Day event as did many towns in the US. Honoring our veterans is very important. I understand your struggle with putting yourself out there. I was out with a friend and she wanted to stop at the mall (Macy’s in particular.) We walked past the men’s dept. and I remembered my husband would pick out clothing there. Then passed the section where I bought my suit for the funeral. On my drive home I had a major grief attack of sobbing. 😢 This had not happened this bad for over a month. Triggers come unexpectedly. Attended my prayer group this morning with my husband on my mind. Will be facilitating a grief support group at the church with a friend who lost her husband. Remembered you and Sue in the prayer petitions this morning as well as all widows and widowers. Stay strong. One day at a time! 🙏

Appreciate your effort to record and then post this here, Len. Good job. Everyone responsible for this service deserves credit for a well-done, respectful ceremony. Glad I watched. I agree with what the guy wearing the memorial kilt said during his speech. We only have one DAY that we set-aside as a nation to officially honor those who lost their lives while serving our country? (It should be "Memorial WEEK", at least, and not just Memorial DAY.) But, he also said that all of us can take a minute and make every day a Memorial Day in our minds, if we want to. This was also a day for you to remember and honor Cindy, because while you were there yesterday (if you were thinking that she would've probably been there if she could) then I'm sure you spent a lot of time thinking about her while you were there. Memories are a poor substitute in place of having them physically here with us, though. But, for some of us, that's all we've got now. It's tough to only be going on memories these days with those that we've lost (and knowing there won't be any more future memories being made with them.)

Everything you say here is so true. My wife devoted much of her time and resources to help people. Veterans were number 1 on the list. I learned a lot from her. Thanks for your comments, God bless...🙏🇺🇲

Nice parade It’s good you could do this. I thought about all our generations Viet Nam war vets that never came home. All those that died in a war …. Maybe one of them would have found the cure for cancer. Tomorrow is a tough one for me. It would have been our 43 rd anniversary. I will try and concentrate on our many happy memories of anniversaries past. Please pray for me My loss is so overwhelmingly huge 💔. I really wish I could join him

Hi jhancy, Thank you for your comments. They are much appreciated. I'm sorry for your loss of your Husband. This is a horrible pain to endure. Even knowing Jesus the Christ as our savior doesn't stop the hurting... We do have a hope in a grand reunion one day ,this is a great comfort, at times. I do understand the price for love and devotion. It hurts deeply. GOD will see us through this grief journey .
