The single island, lack of river setup is giving me anxiety.

It's more like Banished. Looks like at the end, the humongous palisades you wanted were too much for the game. Thanks for the vid.

That was fun to watch. Oh, a tip for you is that if you hit '6' while placing certain buildings you can see resources. You can also hover over the individual resource icons to see where that particular resource is on the map.

You keep placing your cultural buildings in the middle of nowhere - surely you want them near your existing city centre neighbourhoods to raise the appeal? The little icon pops up saying what immediate effect it will have on them. Otherwise you have to wait for whole new sets of houses to spring up next to them

hey, CIV6 is kinda like SimCity but you run several cities

This game reminds me of a puzzle game. It's interesting and laid-back

Marbs picks a Priest, with swords on the coat-of-arms. I doubt that this game will allow it, but I see which direction Marbs wants to take it, and I approve! 😂👍

Wait ! ? what ? You should build a city on a river, near the sea , with a good defensive position.
@haukionkannel4 күн бұрын
No war in this game, so defensive position does not matter!

Neat game, but I have to wonder what replay value it has after a run or two.

I like it when you play something you know how, seeing you fiddle with something isn't very fun, it is also very frustrating seeing you missing points building or just looking around for stuff. I would recommend in the future to play the game for a few hours and only then do a beginner stream so it wont feel so cringy.

I actually strongly disagree with this sentiment. This for me is an accurate estimation of what it would be like picking up the game, not knowing the mechanics and what the experience is like. With these early access games, its super helpful to me - as a single solitary person on the internet - to judge how I interested I am to pick the game up in its current state. I get where you are coming from, I appreciate your opinion, but for me this type of vid is very valuable.

You have to master the art of 2x speed watching and skipping the boring parts of youtube videos. I can't watch videos normally anymore. Either I have to listen to them in the background while doing something or I have to manually skip stuff. However Marbz's Civ V videos are so fun I never skip a turn while watching.

I think for Marbs himself these kind of videos are more interesting to make and games to play. His voice imho sounds more motivated, I imagine he having fun.
