Grateful for your videos! My husband Todd, surprised me at christmas, with a trip here is coming February, 2024. We have been very nervous about going here based on all the negative comments, etc. But, since viewing your videos, we are open to and excited for the opportunity to visit this resort, and Cuba, for the first time!!!

Hi Mike & Jenny!! We have only been to Cuba once a few weeks ago. We went to Varadero. We had a great time and we are considering this resort and a few others in Cayo Coco this time. I think people really need to do their research before they go to Cuba along with watching your videos. People are expecting 5 star service which does not exist in Cuba. Cubans are struggling so bad and they are trying so hard to make sure we have a great visit! There will be shortages,there will be bugs, and the food can be repetitive BUT there will also be gorgeous beaches, beautiful landscapes and some of the friendliest people I have ever met. Yes, you can go to an island in the Caribbean that will offer you fancy meals and fewer shortages but you will pay a lot more for it!! Thank you for videos and educating people.

Myself and my wife have been to Cuba and Memories Caribe several times. I am heading there again myself in late April as a nice relaxation prior to my retirement in May. You are right on about Cuba. You will always have a great time. The beach, weather, Cuban people, and the atmosphere is the best. And as long as you are not a picky eater, you have nothing to worry about. Everyone in Cuba luvs Canada and Canadians. It is the best!!!!

Hi Mike . I love your videos of Caribe and Flamenco. Just a heads up that there is a great deal on redtag at our favourite resort Hotel Mojito on April 3rd and 10th for 2 weeks @ $ 1275/person. We have been there 20 times and although the resort is getting tired looking, it is the people and staff that makes the place amazing.

My wife and I are heading there in the end of March. I will celebrate my 50th Bday there that week! Cannot wait to go. Your videos really helped us decide on the area to go to. We have been to Varadero and wanted to experience a different location. Cannot agree more with you when you say, Cuba is not for everyone but if you can go with the flow you will have a great time. Thank you for the nice, informative and mouth watering flic!!! We were last April/MAy next door at Playa Coco nice place too BUT mucho macho FLIES...an infestation was horrendous...want to book Caribe for September....seems to be hardly or no flies at the beach snack and at the buffet... I know mosquitoes and noseeums are always bad but FLIES all over the food and drinks.YUK...was it ok when you were there?...By the way you'll love Cayo Largo but not the same beach like Caribe and much much less flies😊

I am loving your videos...new subscriber! Was at Playa Cayo Santa Maria just before the world fell apart and loved it...went January 2023 and was so disappointed that we swore off Cuba. The tour guide told us about the hardships Cuba has suffered lately. It was heartbreaking to hear about what has happened there. I was wondering if it was long term or short term. Our resort ran out of canned beer, bacon was non existent and being Canadian we need our bacon, buffet was mediocre at best. The staff seemed to be...well...beaten? Like they fought the fight but they felt like they lost. Just put in minimal effort. Even the chairs were uncomfortable, lol. Your videos have given me hope. Looks like Diamond Club is the way to go too!

I hear you, yes Cuba is staring to come back, but still lots to go. Beer wheat and etc shortages will never end unfortunately. Cuba is still hurting but with lots of tourists coming back and helping out, the Cuban people at the resorts are starting perk up and LOTS of smiles to go around. We are huge Cuba fans, approximately 20 trips. We were at the Iberostar Daiquiri three times last year, eight times in total but our trip in November kind of turned us off there. The kite sufers have taken over and don't respect the boundaries going in the swimming area and disregarding the lifeguards. We are looking for a new home away from home and are looking between Memories Caribe and Sol Cayo Coco. We like quiet. Any thoughts?

hey guys,great video.We have been to Carib 3 times ,2 were good, third not so much.Maybe becouse of the Covid rules they had but anyway.They must have changed since than. We like the Carib but I find the beach to narrow at times and all those dogs on the resort are annoying to me.Also the pelican almost attacked one time while going for dinner.We switched to Flamenco Memories instead.

Wasnt like that at all January 2024. Especially the ingredients at pasta bar. This needs to be updated. The fruits and desserts were 1/4 of the selections presented here. I chose this resort because of your video.

YOU do realize that Cuba is Struggling from Massive Shortages!!! AND I HAVE MADE PLENTY of those Videos!!!! Did you watch any of thoses VIDEOS?

@Finding-Fish yes I did . I was prepared. Speaking with others from other resorts on excursions. They had better experiences. Smell of sewer in rooms and backed up toilets in public washrooms not getting any attention for the entire week isn't shortage related. Fumigation during the supper meal without warning was sketchy. The A la carts we're "Full" diamond club couldn't even book. They were never full. Just say you can't accommodate due to shortages. Don't offer Diamond club and charge the same if you can't handle feeding the upgrades.

Jenny, your Pasta plate at 12.55 looks great. was it pre cooked or they just cooked for you fresh, al dente? I love my pasta but i rather wait 10 minutes and have it done fresh and of course for an Italian, it must be al dente. Every resort have its advantages and disadvantages, I went to flamenco month and half ago, I had no water for 5 days with my daughter did I let I ruin my vacation nooo, still enjoy wonderful friends and staff, about ten of us was even attack my a lunatic in the pool but did I let that ruin our vacation noo so the story is just go with an open mind and enjoy yourself because it’s Cuba and guess what I’m going to memories caribe with a special someone on Sunday and I can’t wait

Just got back on the 19th . It was a great trip. No complaint's whatsoever. The beach on most days is like bath water. And so stunningly clear. We went out to the sand bar with the Canadian flag . We walked most of the way to Flamenco. But turned around it was too hot..
