Hanging out at the Folger ruins was a frequent part of my teenage years. Interesting to see the house whole.

I feel we tend to forget the victims have family still connected to them. The murders were so long ago and so highly publicized it feels like it’s almost like a fictional event today.

Thank you for sharing this. My heart goes out to EVERY member of the Folger family for the loss of Abigail. She did NOTHING to deserve what happened to her.
@jackanthony9764 жыл бұрын
That seems to be the way life is. What we deserve or not deserve and what actually happens to us are two different things. Why did Abigail get 40 knife wounds? Was this part of the plan of a cruel god? Was this karma? Bad luck? It can't be explained.

I hate the fact that she became involved with Voyteck Frykowski, financially supported him, becoming hooked on drugs with him, allowing herself to be used by subletting the Cielo house for Sharon, when she was already renting a house on Woodstock road. I just wish that Gibby wouldve left loser Voyteck long before that night and that entire Hollywood druggie scene.

@@jackanthony976 it can be explained. It’s evil, pure evil on earth. God doesn’t want these things to happen but he gave humans free will to do what they please. And unfortunately there’s evil people who do evil things

My heart goes out to every family member of the Abigail Folder and the every family member of the other victims of that horrible night. At least part of justice has been completely done. Susan Atkins is in hell where she belongs await the other Manson followers to join Atkins, including Charles Manson himself.

***** Oh, so cuz Abigail's family was wealthy you think that made her death/murder easier for them? HUH? You really need to stop and think about that. Rich, poor, middle class, black, white, asian, young, old, WHATEVER. Wealthy people love their family just as much as EVERYONE. You sound SO foolish & clueless. BTW, before you start accusing me of being rich; I'm NOT. I've always worked full time and the most I've made is $12.68 per hour. But I don't hate wealthy people just for being wealthy. What you wrote is absurd. Again, just stop & think about it.

The Folger family has been mute regarding the murder of Abigail in such a brutal fashion. No Folger family member ever shows up at any of the parole hearings for any Manson family member while at least one member of the Tate family shows up each parole hearing to speak against parole for any Manson family member, especially Pat Krenwinkle who inflicted over 40 knife wounds into Abigail Folger.
@JaneDoe-zr4px4 жыл бұрын
@@jackanthony976 Yes, I found this fact hard to believe when I learned of it a few years ago. But none of us knows how we would deal with a horrendous situation like this. I'd like to THINK I would attend every hearing to make sure my loved one's murderer would be kept in jail but who really knows. Remember, at those parole hearings, the family have to be only feet away from these monsters in a room for several hours. I don't know how I would deal with that at all, let alone every five years, at multiple murderer's hearings, for 40 plus years. However it's hard to believe with all their resources they couldn't hire someone to at least represent the family at the hearings. If for nothing else, than to honor Abigail's memory.

1220sassy the Folgers are plutocrats!fortune families that exist from stealing from others! To gain fortunes in order to maintain power. More wealth more power, that the type of power used to prop up other wealthier families in order to become Plutocratic Oligarchs!! These ‘FAMILY’ types are the real MONSTERS! They have enough money to help hundreds of thousands of suffering people in the world yet they choose not too based on their elitist oligarchic ways. These families are evil! Don’t get confused with what you’re spoon fed by the media as these families OWN the media!! Just as the Hearst family does or the Reagan family(all from California). Many in this world believe these types should be shot. Thats not my opinion, its just a fact.
@EmilyJones-ey3df2 жыл бұрын
For everyone who is shaming the Folgers for not showing up at parole hearings, please note that they are still a very powerful family with political clout. They don't have to parade for the cameras every time one of those cretins come up for parole. All they have to do is pick up the phone and call the Governor.

TBA C you are very rude. Sadly, Abigale shall only be remembered for her horrific death. No one remembers that she was a volunteer worker at the Free Clinic in San Francisco/ Oakland or her other charity work. If you have ever had someone you love taken from you it is sometimes best to let it go and not keep rehashing the details of their death. Jay Sebring was my boyfriend. I loved him dearly as well as Sharon, yet never attended a parole hearing. Having money and power has nothing to do with it! In my humble opinion, you are a low class imbecile for even suggesting it!

Who would bother to read the trash and lies Bugliosi wrote in Helter Skelter. Read Tom O'Neills book! He outs The Bug as a downright liar!
@soso8824 Жыл бұрын
@@sharmagneleland-st.john-sy7697 Unfortunately Bug's Helter Skelter was the first major to come out about the murders and for decades was considered the truth on the tragedy. But with more recently published books, we are finding that there was so much more to this tragedy. Iv read Restless Souls by Brie Tate and Alisa Statman. Sharon Tate, A Life by Ed Sanders. Manson Exposed by Ivor Davis. And of course the explosive CHAOS by Tom Oneill. These 4 books have the last word on this case/tragedy. And it took nearly 50 years after the murders for people to be willing to talk. Some people who knew the victims still refuse to talk. I wonder about that. Almost as if there is something to hide. Still. The now deceased Peter Fonda refused to talk to Oneill. Diane Ladd threatened to sue if her name was even mentioned with the murder victims.😱
