I have some great memories of time spent at Old Chicago mall. There's never been a place as cool as Old Chicago and unfortunately we'll probably never see anything like her again.

I went there as a kid. Still have the photographs being there. Including sitting on the lion outside. Such fond memories. Thanks for sharing.

I remember when my big momma & great aunt took me to Old Chicago when i was either 4 or 5 years old at the time, it was a church field trip and all three of us got on one of the high rides. Looking back i laugh thinking about me getting on those rides with those two old ladies lol but i really really enjoyed myself. Wow the good old days! Thank you soo much for posting this video... man this bring back memories!!!

I have only been here once that I can remember. I was about 8 years old and the memories are a bit fuzzy, but good ones nonetheless. Watching this video brings me back to a time when life was so much simpler and frankly better. Thank you for sharing this.

We used to go there every year it was really cool and I remember the mall was never really finished and they had crazy stores! The upside down roller coaster is actually still in use somewhere in new Jersey I think!

It's in New Hampshire. It's been renamed the Canobie Corkscrew, at Canobie Lake Park. I'm only in my mid twenties now, and I grew up with that coaster. It was the first steel coaster I ever went on, and I still ride it a few times every time I happen to go a few towns over to go to the park. It's been a very rough ride for as long as I remember, but I love it.

I was involved in a roller coaster crash there when I was about 10 years old. The coaster was called The Chicago Cat. A car in front of us locked-up on the track and we rear-ended it. I bumped my nose pretty godd and was bleeding. Year later, I remember an article in a Chicago newspaper reproted that there were 38 incidents on that same coaster!

This mall/ amusement park was created before the Mall of America. I grew up in Bolingbrook, and even walked and drove passed it daily.

The company I used to work for there had a store there - Airplane accessories and Scuba gear - it was named "The Flying Fish." If I remember right, "The Fury" also filmed a scene there.

AT 6.45 what is that ride called that is in the background? It looks like a tall rocket ship with tracks that encircle it ?

Bolingbrook was too far from the western suburbs so i was never able to visit. Unfortunately, it closed one year before I had a license and my first car ...a 1971 Cutlass Supreme
