I remember the old Park Lane bus station as I used to go there to get the bus to the old Wearside Technical College just before it was closed down and a supermarket built on the site. Apart from that and going to see my late uncle with my late father near the printing shop for the Sunderland Echo at the top end of Chester road. My uncle was a tough Sergeant in the Tank Regiment prior to the war until 1947 . He got a job at the Sunderland Echo as a type setter . When he finished his shifts at around 3AM , he walked home and had to walk through the cemetery on Chester road. He admitted that was the only time despite being through the war was frightened of walking through the cemetery at that time of the morning . Nice video again Colin.
