Al appeared on Good Morning America on August 16, 1987. He gave an account of responding to the call from upstairs, and what he saw when he arrived in Elvis' bathroom. As he told the story he broke down. I lost my VHS copy of this year ago. Hope to find it again on youtube. No luck yet. He was obviously a good guy.

Hello to all the Smith family, I loved to hear about Mr. Al Strada. He and Elvis were like two peas in a pod, in the way they loved their moms. This story was so heartwarming ❤❤❤ Grace and Alain from Canada

Hi! My father was born and raised in Talladega. Also, he was a decorated Vietnam Vet that did two tours in the infantry. Sadly, I lost him three years ago to cancer from Agent Orange. Nevertheless, I love vets including Elvis!!! These days, the kids would not serve if they were in Elvis's position. Love y'all and love Elvis! Roll Tide!

Hi, Billy and Jo, so nice to meet you. Billy, I knew you long ago, during the time of Anita and before Priscilla. I was a teenager then and was around Elvis and the guys, but I mostly stayed in with Grandma, spending times with her upstairs and later downstairs, alot of the time on weekends, but mostly during the summer when Elvis was away. I absolutely loved that lady more than anyone knows. There are many, many memories of her and Graceland. I didn't know if you knew it, my son, Paul Boensch lll played the young Elvis in the movie, This is Elvis. He had a ball. He is now tge only "Elvis" still alive. Thank you for this KZbin , it is very interesting and an honest conversation of Elvis from someone who knows the truth. Thanks alot.

Thanks Billy and Jo Great story on Al Strada! Elvis had so many guys in the group the only way I keep up is by recognizing the name! I think I heard almost all the people but every once in a while a name I might not have heard comes up but by now I think there are no names close to Elvis I don’t know! Definitely remember Al Strada but some of the group don’t really know their position or their personalities! Take care out there Smith Family! Till next time!👍💕🍁🍂

@elvisfan61 Al Strada testified FOR Dr Nick. Al told how on instructions from Joe Esposito and Dr Nick he would destroy thousands of pills from California, and that Dr Nick was replacing as many of the pills that were left with placebos. I adore Al Strada. He seemed to be a very gentle soul who loved Elvis. He has not profited from him with books or interviews or anything, he simply went back to a life of anonymity with his, I imagine, very treasured memories and grief.

I think Not hearing from AL is another sign of his great character! The rest couldn't wait to cash in and write a book ( not talking about family) and tell about being with Elvis! 😭 I believe that AL the way he loved and treated his mother , held a special place in Elvis heart! Because he was doing the same things that Elvis did and would've done for Gladys if she were still alive before he passed. He would've made sure she wouldn't have anything to worry about as long as she lived ( if she were fortunate enough to live a long life) which that's basically what he did and was his main purpose for wanting to make enough money to take care of her. His goal was not to be famous, but to make enough money to care for his family, which he Knew Vernon wasn't capable of.

That guitar Elvis gave Al was a Fender Telecaster (all-rosewood); Elvis didnt like the guitar because it was very heavy and was an electric, too small a size. Also that all-rosewood was one of a small batch that Fender made, George Harrison got one also, George played his, you can see George play his on the roof concert that Beatles did, just before they split.

Billy and Jo was not in the house when it happened so they won't know that. However when Ulysses Jones, one of the two emergency medical technicians who came to Graceland, was asked about that. He said; "She was not dressed and ‘made up,’ she was very distraught, had obviously been crying a lot, and was still dressed in, he thought, either a very pale yellow or maybe light blue robe."

I just want to know everybody knows that Jesse's plot is empty because they say that Mr and Mrs Presley forgot where they buried their son to me that is so hard to believe even though they were poor but Elvis did get rich around 1953 to 1955 so they had the money to go back out and try to find out where he was located especially today all the technology that we have now I am really starting to wonder if they ever buried the poor boy or not I guarantee you Elvis would have went out to try to find them something's fishy about this you might not agree with me but that's okay😢
