The law of the lord is the law of love. On delight : it also means his true delight is not in worldly things, and rather the love of God, which is not only loving god, but delighting in the embodying of that love. And meditating on that is meditating while embodying that love, which is giving 'spiritual pleasure'. The word is good but we need the power of the word to.

Regarding the day and night, psalm 63 says “6 When I think of you as I lie on my bed, I meditate on you during the night watches” I believe this to be an elaboration regarding this.
