That’s how I feel about all of their content lol like I don’t think I have understood anything honestly-but I’m a skeptical person too and don’t easily trust… so we have to study in community for the rest of our life- something they also mentioned in a video I watched. It’s like, I don’t want to believe certain things bc they sound good I want to know the truth and it seems hard. Almost impossible to really know the true interpretation! Why would God leave us down here to try and figure it out? Why not be more clear and direct-just have one way!? It seems like a set up… but I know it isn’t. Praying God helps me!

Brilliant and beautiful! “Psalms is a prayer book for exiles, designed as a virtual literary temple. You enter the Psalms to meet with God, and to hear the entire biblical story of God’s kingdom sung back to you in poetry.” This is my favorite Bible Project video, thank you! It also compliments the great article about the Exile in the current Bible Project quarterly magazine.

Commanded Witness Isaiah 55:1-4 (KJV) 1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. 2 Wherefore do ye spend money for [that which is] not bread? and your labour for [that which] satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye [that which is] good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness. 3 Incline your ear, and come unto me: hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, [even] the sure mercies of David. 4 Behold, I have given him [for] a witness to the people, a leader and commander to the people.

I love the psalms. Since I’ve started reading the Bible I’ve always felt a connection with the book. I have had severe anxiety (it’s been so much better these days, praise God! ) I would listen to the psalms constantly during these episodes. They have always been able to calm my fears and put me at ease. When I read them they bring me to tears and I feel as though they where written specifically for me. I remember seeing words of my own prayers in them for the first time and feeling such an amazing connection to God. It is truly an awesome book. My favourite is psalm 91 💜

Great work! Reminds me Ps 137: 1 By the waters of Babylon, there we sat down and wept, when we remembered Zion. 2 On the willows there we hung up our lyres. 3 For there our captors required of us songs, and our tormentors, mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion! 4 How shall we sing the Lord's song in a foreign land?
