That’s so cool. My husband happened to stumble in while I was watching and wants those shirts!

All Hart he he! They are pretty cool I must admit! I got them for my brother when I was an exchange student as a present as he was a big basketball fan! Now he’s an even bigger nfl fan! He has an amazing man cave dedicated to the seahawks!! 🤪

Great Emma - clear and easy tutorial! I’ve got some cushions to make my daughter for her new bedroom so this is a great reminder for me how to make them! Using the batting at the from will make them extra cuddly 😊 x

1. I love the T-shirt you used! 2. I need to do this pronto! I may need to search Goodwill for an amazing Bears one for my husband's man cave!

Miller Life thank you! It was a gift to my brother many years ago when I was living in the states. He had kept a few of his favourite basket ball shirts and asked me to create these cushions for his man cave... he’s now a huge American football fan! I’d love to see what you make. I have a Facebook group called “sew create and craft” if you’d like to share in there 🥳🥰

Hello, I know the video is 2 years old, but can the pillow be made without interfacing and battling? Thanks
@mz.fabulous172 жыл бұрын
Also, can I use the battling without the interfacing or the interfacing without using the battling? Thanks
@Studio7t72 жыл бұрын
Hi no worries I always try to reply. Thanks for watching! So the interfacing is to stabilise the stretch that you get in t shirt fabric. If using 100% no stretch cotton and not a t shirt you can totally use no interfacing.
@Studio7t72 жыл бұрын
As for the batting- this gives it a plusher look. You can leave it out but it’ll be a different result.
@Studio7t72 жыл бұрын
Hopefully that helps? If you make one please do share it in my Facebook group if you’re on there- sew create and craft Happy sewing!

@@Studio7t7 I will use both, the interfacing and the batting. I will also tag you once I made it. Thank you 🙂

When doing the backing do I need to cut two pieces of the t-shirt 16x12.5 then iron on the interfacing to that?
@Studio7t73 жыл бұрын
I cut the interfacing first and then iron that to the t shirt. Once ironed you then cut the t shirt. That way you can make sure placement is correct Incase the t shirt back isn’t really big. Hope that helps.

DO you use the same 1/2 inch seam for any size pillow? This will be my first time making one. If I am using a 14 inch pillow what size should I cut my squares?
@Studio7t73 жыл бұрын
Hi apologies for the delay. Yes I would use 1/2” for any size. In the video I made a 16” cover for an 18” pillow inner so if your pillow is 14” I would cut the squares at 13” to allow for 1/2” seam allowance each side. Hope that makes sense. Many thanks for watching and any other questions please don’t hesitate to ask 🥰

Do you not need to cover the interfacing on the flaps? Will is stay when washed? Haven’t used iron on interfacing in years and it never seemed to stay on when washed

With any size pillow form you cut your shirts out smaller than the pillow?
@Studio7t74 жыл бұрын
Yes with any size pillow I would cut the shirt A little smaller if you want a very cuddly, full cushion hope that helps.
