I am so in love with this style too just because of the smaller footprint and way of keeping it simple... focusing on the memory but you can still put some creative kick into it.

I like your way of documenting. :-) I make my yearly journal with a composition book. The way I remedy the picture problem, because I've had the same thoughts, is I use mostly clipart and everyday ephemera and not that many pictures. I do put pictures in my journal, just not that many. And then when I want to make a scrapbook page or use in the photo album, I do, because those are for everyone to enjoy, unlike my journals. My youngest son enjoys looking through my journals, and we laugh together and enjoy them, but really no one else. Enjoy your week, it's Monday morning, time for me to get to work! :-)
