Yhanks for the video. I just installed the Del Rey on my Iron 883. The 13" height worked well for me (5'6") providing the needed wind protection off my chest yet allowing me visibility over the top to see the road ahead.

How is the wind deflection at highway speeds? Do get get any buffeting on your head? I have a new HD quarter fairing with a DDP 12" windshield, and it blocks the wind great off of my chest and face with no buffeting, however I like the clean look of no fairing, and the Del-Ray.

The wind deflection is noticeable and I do not get wind buffeting at my head. It definitely keeps the wind off the chest and most of the head. At first I had buffeting, but I played with the height and angle of the windshield and fixed the issues. Im also 5'9 and your height is a factor in choosing the right windshield. They also make the Del Rio which is slightly taller. I think if you choose the right windshield you can get great wind protection. Good thing is you can swap out the fairing/windshield for your needs. I will be dropping a video soon with my detailed thoughts on the Del Rey.

It works well for me and im about 5'9. I think for longer road trips I would go with the longer windshield the Del Rio I believe. Thanks for watching!

I did get the headlight extension but honestly doesn’t look like it was needed. With the extension the headlight light sticks out past the windshield a bit. Looks like without the extension it will be more flush or sit inside. The extension is good though because you will need it if you decide to switch to a road warrior.

You still need the mounting hardware for the fairing itself, but yes it will attach to the same fork mount
