Great race. Very strong move by Josh to go from 600 out. Thanks for posting.

I was impressed with Kerr today and deep down I thought he would Win . I'm a Jacob fan so, I wanted him to Win .... that being said , I think Jacob has a lot more upside this season and will make more improvements in training and racing thru Olympics

@@user-qk7id7ev9u well Jakob has been injuried this winter, he even belived for a while this event would come to early for him and still was that close.
@user-qk7id7ev9u28 күн бұрын
@@jkdure Injury is no excuse. All athletes get injured. Look at Wightman struggling in the same race. But it wasn't close, Kerr got in front and stayed there for 600m. Should be a great rivalry between them. Ingebrigtsen has the faster times, but racing isn't about times, it's about beating everyone else.

@@jkdureIt will be the subconscious mental damage done by this defeat that may hit him with Kerr on his shoulder in the Olympic final. Competition is not only a physical thing.

@@user-qk7id7ev9u Wightman could fly under the radar, missed a lot of 2023 due to his foot injury; likely just missing some sharpening. So I think this was an ok race for him.

World Best Performance for Cameron Myers - smashed Jacob's previous age 17 worlds best. Jacob ran 3:52.26 and Myers ran 3:50.15 here.
@CarlFredrik-uo1cu28 күн бұрын
That is impressive and he deserves attention. It is worth noting that Jakob ran a 3:52.28 mile at 17, but he also ran a 3:31.18 1500m at 17, which equals a 3:47.92 mile.

Kerr was always going to come out on top here any way they ran this, simply because he's been racing well. No matter how fit you are, without racing it's near impossible to hit top form. This was Ingebrigtson's season opener, dude hasn't raced in months. Everything could change between now and Paris, so grab some popcorn.

Kerr is in great shape. But last year, Jakob ran a 3:43.73 with at 54.7 last lap. Kerr would not have been able to keep up with that. I'm looking forward to this season.
