I was an abused kid growing up and before I got my driver's license I would take my car to La Jolla cliffs and watch the waves crash against the rocks below me while listening to this song. It helped me decompress from my life. It's still holds special meaning for me even though I've long been healed from the past.

San Jose, CA. "83...hello Julie West. For a moment there Men At Work were right with The Police as far as popularity...they owned Mtv. They were able to Catch a Star, and in the process Touch the Untouchables...all before it became Overkill. i always thought Dave Matthews Band would do an excellent cover of Down by Sea (*LIVE & only live). Sadly. just as Greg...Leroi has passed on, they both played the sax with such a haunt. Like a distant train far in the horizon. I like to imagine the two have met, and were introduced by the arch angel Gabriel, and now do gigs at a bar called "Heaven". That would be simply...Red.

Wow, seeing this clip I realize what outstanding musicians the guys were to get such a brilliant sound live. Probably only someone from Melbourne would understand the "yonnies in the wind", and "putting out the bins" reference..not sure where the word for small throwing shaped stones," yonnies" came from.

Excellent! Thank you so much for sharing! I really wish all MAW audio was on CD, and all MAW video footage was on DVD. They could put out different volumes of each, depending on what they find in various vaults. I'll even accept digital downloads if the music and video companies insist that that's the only way they'll do it. But give MAW fans the option to pay for more material from this truly special rock band. Free MAW footage on youtube is wonderful, and it makes me wonder what else is in the vault.
