Used dating apps 7 years ago and did ok getting dates .Then i quit the apps as i was into to a 3 yr relationship that ended a year ago So I used dating apps again for over a year now. They are a waste of your time and money. Apps inflate women's ego and render men as invisible unless he's a top 5 percent of good looking men .I have good pics, a good profile , i am better than average, looking (about a 6) retired engineer, six ft tall and a good guitar player. Using 4 apps the past year and have gotten zero responses. I am out. Ladies we men have left the building. The bears await you.

Dating apps were ok 6, 10,15 years ago, women were a bit more straightforward and dateable... Now they bomb love you give you they number just to waste your time get an ego boost and a kick from that, plus the algorithm and AI was the final nail in the coffin

Believe it or not, women can be very good actresses, and you could be getting more than you bargained for. The most important thing in the dating game is human chemistry. In my 60s now. I’ve kept myself trim and fit, very solvent, retired early. The choice of women is pretty poor, the menopause has taken its toll on them. They have No hobbies or interests, just sitting watching soaps, stuffing their faces. If it’s not watching drama it’s creating it 🤣

I am in my early 60s, relatively good looking, articulate and successful. I have no trouble getting plenty of likes and matches but there's a couple of things I find. Firstly, many women are serial daters and have been on dating sites for years. They have been chewed up and spat out by so many men they are unable to actually bond in a relationship with a man regardless. At best they are worth a one nighter if you can stand it. Secondly, and worst of all, due to the attention women get because there are so many more men on these sites than women they all think they are a bit special. So what you get is a 2 or a 3 (at best) 'liking' me and all I want to do is throw up. They actually think they are right up there.

I deleted them recently after some very bad dates with low quality women that I accepted because I wasn’t getting anything. This has freed up more of my time to do something productive and has also improved my self-esteem.

I wouldn't say it's a scam, but imo its purpose has definitely been abused, like most things, mainly by women posting less than honest pics and profiles. The apps that give them free membership only encourage their game playing because they have no skin in the game, and it didn't cost them a dime.

I recall on a disaster site I mistakenly joined for a year and as the sub was finally ending suddenly a women who was " going to be on vaca convienently " reached out to me just at same time as sub expires suggesting a scam to get me to re sub for another year just to get to continue this interaction I truly think this is a possibility especially cuz the site overcharged me a month and instead of giving me a extra month they reimbursed my funds shady 4 sure?

I went on a dating app a few months ago. At first it seemed to get me dates and I was talking to women. However I did not meet anyone who wanted something real. This one was on a semi annual break from the fiance, this one needed money for this or that, or the other lied about her age.
