Same for me. I was left homeless from my divorce and had to start from scratch with nothing after near 16 years together. Then 2 years of parental alienation. Yes I have dated a few in the past 3 years from all went to rubbish and I realised I don't want to take on others issues. Most females in my age group (41) are so damaged, as are so many men. It's a mess.

As financially secure divorced single 59 year old Dad, the thought of dating goes right down to the bottom of the to do list. The past six years "alone" have been amazing, finally getting to live a life I've always wanted. So many great experiences without being tied down. No debt due to "supporting a woman". Freedom to choose my own adventures. I'm so active, most women my age can't keep up. I'd rather rave at music festivals platonically with girls half my age than worry about finding the right woman to have a relationship with and, if I'm lucky, actually has the physical prowess to do so. I'm not sedentary. Maybe along the way I'll meet a girl who is interested in me, but the lack of one is the lamest excuse not to live to the fullest.

I’m 63 now, and as I look back at all the women I dated, lived with, courted, interacted with. It was a lot of effort for little to no return. Happiness? Contentment? Very rarely. The rise of obnoxious, bitter men haters and the influence they have, they take a delight in belittling, demonising and insulting men. If you don’t fit the bill, they will quite easily, without any consequences destroy your reputation. I have given up looking, if it happens it happens, but at my age?😂 I’m more interested in staying healthy, staying alive!

My reasons for walking away are abit different. I haven't had any kind of romantic experience and I'm at an age now where I can embrace what I do have in life. I've had crushes, I've been on all the apps, been the nice guy, but I realise that everything I did was one sided. I want to break the norm and not rely on the concept of a relationship to feel better, I will do it myself. Take pride in yourselves, men! 💪

I used to get some dates on online dating. If I really tried maybe a date a month. That dried up quick to it was a few a year. Then zero. Women's standards were unrealistic and they would stop writing, stop looking at profile, if they did write then they would ghost me. After Covid, I deleted all dating apps. Never been happier. Women will never understand how awful dating is for men. They think we all date a lot. Those are only the top 2 percent. The rest of us are here on Youtuble watching these videos.

You're absolutely right... Modern dating is a sick joke. ESPECIALLY the dating apps! By societies metrics I should be near the top as I can check an awful lot of boxes that women claim they want and then some like a clean background. The only real strike I have according to society is that I am overweight and have a "dad bod". Yet that doesn't stop the disrespect and getting shit upon including an ex that tried to poison me. Like most men I still have a hope of finding that lifetime companion, but at this point it's really become more trouble than it's worth. Speaking as a GenX, I agree that eventually a great reset is going to happen... It has to or the species itself is doomed. However I have doubts I'll be alive to see it. The glut of the dating pool right now are the Millennials, and they are also the driving force behind all this nonsense we see in society, not just dating, but all this political turmoil as well. GenZ seems more based from those I have met, but they still have many years to go before they come into their own.

Divorce cost me my home, 3 cars, 2 kids and $300,000. Worst of all she had my dog killed without letting me say good bye. I was put on trial 7x for false accusations, found 3 tracking devices, was caught up in 3 car chases ending up at police stations for the cops to sort us out. I was made homeless twice, suicidal for a while, and deep in debt paid to lawyers defending me. Why did my life go to hell? My special snowflakes was bored with our comfortable suburban blue pill heaven and found a former high school boyfriend in line. My bish blew up that marriage up and wrecked my marriage with the magic words : I'm not happy, get out! She made up some story about feeing unsafe with me and a judge issued an order, evidtion. No contact with her and kids for 8 weeks, and order of protection for the home and kids school. She told the kids I ran away, did bad drugs and died. After trying to be relevant to my kids, the kids told me off at ages 16 and 12. Yeah. 12 year old daughter told me off. So no. I'm not going around again. I went back to college to get new skills. The orientation class basically told the classes that women were precious and anything bad happens to women real or imagined, men were at fault and will be brought before the board and ejected. So I watched men and women separating in classrooms and walking to class. The women thought the men would rape and beat them, and the men were afraid of arrest and expulsion without degree or refund. Good luck ladies. You need help? Maybe I'll send help your way. I'm out completely. Enjoy your cats and box wine. Dating? After women have had dozens of men is totally repulsive. Great, I'm number 75. How did I compare to the other 74 fuckbois? Lol, no thanks.

She was so pleasant, told me about all her life, her relationship with her parents, sent me photos of hers, that was actually her behind the screen. She asked me what movies I like, songs, etc, every morning i woke up there a voice message from her was in my phone, what she was doing, wishing me a blessed day.... never a woman did that to me. That lasted for over a month until, bingo! she started treating me coldly, single words until she told me she was thinking about her ex. I promply broke up with her. I know those games, been there, and that is a hit below the belt. Man, u don´t know how I felt for weeks. IT´s been two years and still remember her. I was having plans to visit Scotland just to meet her.

Since then we became friends online, she told me a lot of stuff about her life, she was quite proactive in communicating with me, I thought I had a friend. My guess, in my case, was that she was some sort of a sadistic, who likes to mess other people´s feelings just to feel empowered... why the h*ll would she tell me about her life, her inner feelings, photos of grandparents, she even taught me Scottish slangs/expressions they use, and end up treating me like that? If she was a sadistic, that´s a very dangerous one. I don´t know what runs within their female minds, honestly saying.
