Feel bad for Koretzky to finish second again, but nice for Hatherly to win one. It’s not clear from this what happened to Pidcock though. Did he puncture again? Did he have to fight through too much because he didn’t compete in all the world cups and therefore got a lower start position? Was he just exhausted after his summer of racing? I also feel bad for anyone who watched it live and listened to the commentator slurring his words for an hour and a half.

@Eurosport did an incredible job: They transmitted the race with the sound of the commentators describing a climbing event. It's not the first time they've done this, but this time it was funnier! And of course, as always, broadcast outside of hours or in a schedule for another event of other modality! RedBullTv please come back!

I think at the Olympics he had all the "training" from riding the Tour de France. Here, not so much, with other riders focusing on the World's. I also think the relatively short climbs didn't suit him as well as some of the others. Tom tends to do best when there are longer climbs and he can pass several riders.
