Yeah it’s a really bad form of discrimination. Really what it comes down to is, they want men who are biologically (naturally) tall, and if you make yourself tall thru surgery, they view you like an imposter or a cheater. They feel you “cheated” or “bypassed” their selection mechanisms and it pisses them off. This is why I strongly believe that if you’re going to do this surgery, the only people that should know about it is your wife, and nobody else. Not even your close family members, because if word gets out, you just won’t get the same respect as if you say that you had a late growth spurt It’s a great surgery though. To all the people reading this, yeah I'm here bc I think of this aswell, but after many years of being overwhelmed by my insecurities, I came with this advice. It it really you're height that bothers you, or is it *your image of yourself?* Maybe is not bc your 5'7 is bc you don't know how to dress, or pick the right clothes for you, maybe if bc you're fat/skinny, maybe you have acne troubles, bad haircut, bad posture etc etc, and the height if just _another issue you find_ And trust me, I know what I feels like hearing a 6t/5'10 etc, saying *well I would like to he taller/ being tall isn't all good*, buddy we know, this isn't our first search on KZbin or Google, so before considering the pros and cons of the surgery, reconsider what's actually bothering you and what other solutions can be actually effective, less expensive and much less exhausting. I won't say my height bc i just want you to know,yes even if you 5'10 or 5'7 you still can feel that way and I got you, my advice remains, I been there.

I'm 5'11 so I get where you are coming from. Here is what I would suggest though. Anyone who has the money for this is obviously doing well at work. Think of the disposable income one would need for this. It's well in excess of $100k. You not only need work skills for that kind of money, but financial responsibility by which to build savings. If you have that kind of money, go travel overseas, preferably to a non-western country. Think Philippines, Thailand, Turkey, UAE, Singapore, etc. If you've got work skills and can overcome the language barrier? You will be fine. Trust me, I was raised in Turkey and have travelled quite a bit. People in non-western countries are not nearly as focused on height as they are in the US or the UK.

My cousin, whose parents are shorter than my dad, not only grew taller than his parents but beyond my height eventhough he started shorter than me at 8 year old by engaging in athletics. I wish my parents taught me how cruel and superficial this world was. Had I known this, maybe I could've avoided this surgery.. if I ever have children, I won't make the same mistake my parents did. Rich families actually do this. It's common for their kids to be on HGH treatment from a young age so that they can grow taller. My family had money and I asked them to do it, but they refused because they feared it would make me sterile or some crap. This was an unfounded fear and now it's too late.

can someone explain the bad affects on athleticism
@liltasty25724 жыл бұрын
You mean this surgery's effects on athleticism? They said they don't see long term complications. So MY hypothesis is this shouldn't really have negatives side effects. If you're fully healed, but I'm also guessing you have to get used to the new inches. I'm short so I'm thinking of getting this done. I'll see for myself. Not anytime soon tho. Maybe other people might help you out with that.

Lil Tasty it’s no side effects bc it’s going be your real bone 🦴 when done

@@bluerose6089 thats your assumption. In that case people have fractures should not be able to heal back to normal. This is just fracturing and rejoining using a screw which is removed the next year. do your research.

What about nerves and skins, will they grow proportionately?
@puceloVA3 жыл бұрын
Yes, they grow, but you must not lengthen too fast, otherwise they will not have enough time and they can get damaged.

@jayrollo13522 жыл бұрын
Lol I mean you are a woman. Being short isn't really an issue for you. Plus, I'm almost certain that you would want to date men who are much taller. The issue is short men don't have that option. But if they have money, this might be worthwhile for them. Although, I personally don't think it's worth it, there are some who might disagree.

Probably 2-3 months for increasing the length. But the recovery period takes around 1.5 years to 2 years. This recovery period is for making sure the bones are stronger and that you can return to regular activities. You'll have to exercise a lot.
