It's funny that some still argue whether Hanyu is the best skater or not. The man has won the Olympics back to back. The last person to do this was Dick Button 66 years ago. And Dick Button competed against 14 people while Yuzuru Hanyu competed with 30 people. We are not in 1952 and we known that sport is improving . Yuzuru officially got his name written in gold letters in the Figure skating world at a time when the quads were flying in the air. G.O.A.T 🤴

Much as I don’t want him to retire...It’s better for him to do it while still on top. It will save him heartaches and disappointments when organisations are Not fair. He can still do ice shows for fans though. 😘

男子シングル歴代五輪メダリストね。フィギュアスケートはヨーロッパ発祥で、昔はアジアの日本人なんて見かけでもメダルに全く縁のない競技でスタイルのいい西洋人選手を見るのが目の保養だったものですが、羽生君が、しかも２連覇したことで男子フィギュアスケートを根底から変えたような気がします。２連覇はディック・バトンさんについで2人目の大偉業。３連覇は今から１００年くらい前の選手がただ1人。でも参加人数や技術の進歩などを考えれば、現在の３連覇は至難の業。でも先日の全日本の演技を見て羽生君ならやりかねんぞ (^_^;)とよぎりました。

It's interesting that in men's figure skating the champions are usually the more experienced skaters, whereas in women's, it's usually the teenager fresh out of Junior

Юзу не нужно тренировать свой 4 аксель, чтобы не травмироваться перед Олимпиадой. Лучше хорошо выступить и занять место на пьедестале, пусть и не 1, но быть с медалью! Это уже будет рекордом!
