Because these are my circles, the women who do use Instagram for thirst traps seem like the minority (not that they are rare but that they are a small fraction of the entire female population on Instagram). Unless there are stats pulling this info from Instagram (of ALL female users, what percentage post sexy/revealing pictures with the intent of getting attention from men), we can’t really know. Could it be possible the same confirmation bias is happening on your end? Maybe when you spend a lot of time looking at thirst traps on Instagram…you get the sense that there are a lot of women posting thirst traps on Instagram. You see what you are looking for.
