Men Withou Hats - Safety Dance (Live in The Spectrum Montreal 1985)

Men Without Hats were never an album-oriented band, so Collection does the casual fan a favor by compiling all of their hits -- namely "The Safety Dance" (included in its original single mix) and "Pop Goes the World" -- onto one disc. While many of the songs aren't as strong as those two singles, they are enjoyable new wave artifacts, making the compilation a fun nostalgia trip. Still, some casual fans will be disappointed that there aren't any lost classics on Collection, but less-discerning listeners will be pleased.

Ivan and Stefan (the guitarist in this video) had a falling out in the late 2000s. The original keyboardist, Allan McCarthy, died of AIDS back in 1995.
