these are the fastest guys on two man-powered wheels. period. even if track cyclists get higher top speeds, they don't have to think as fast and adapt as fast. this is as intense as racing will ever get. i'm so pumped that they added bmx to the olympics. it's a top-tier sport. it needs a top-tier competition.

Takes me back when I raced in the 80s. Jumps were a lot smaller, lol. I watched this live. I enjoyed the London Olympics especially the MTB XC and the BMX competitions.

Notice that Connor Fields and Sam Willoughby pedal more than most other riders especially on the 2nd last berm. They both also have great bike control allowing them to pop out ahead of people when they are jumping.
