This is my overview of my Mendards Booners 5 sided box blind. I still currently use this blind and love it. Check out some of my other hunting videos and I talk about different things that I have done to improve it over the years.

We are buying a Booner 6 panel blind from Menards and this video was very helpful in figuring the lumber and other materials to buy. At first we were going to use 3/4 treated plywood but seeing that you used 2x6's for the floor we will go that route. We used to go shotgun hunting for deer in Dec. but a lot of the big bucks were taken in the Oct-Nov archery season. So I bought a crossbow and with this blind maybe will have better luck. Thanks for the video!

The blind is easy to put up and take down. kzbin.infoUgkxvlQxmcZQzSQSYbJsEgAGvG2DaduKTV99 As a female hunter, the ease of placing and setting up the blind is a plus. It’s more of a wind barrier than a warm quilted blind. Which makes it a lot lighter than our quilted blind. I enjoyed the larger windows/openings. Made for a successful season. It has held up well for the first season and the stitching looks good.

I bought the same one 3 years ago 4 similar price. My setup is similar to yours. I love this blind. This last deer season I the up of mi I haD many deer walk by within 10 ft of me. Once one walked by the blind so close I could have touched her!! Scent control is not a problem. I've even sneezed and they looked and went to browsing again. So noise control is good too. I watch movies on my laptop without earphones! Your observations o windows was exactly the same as mine are. I would and have bragged/recommended it to everyone I talk to. Thanks for video and confirming my observations....

Thanks for another informative video on your blinds! You make some great modifications! Its larger on the inside than it looks. I have a platform very similar to yours that I had a tent on for years. Tents now shot and I am going to do something new. Thanks for the ideas and good luck hunting!!

Enjoyed the video. Like the idea of buying a blind and customizing it yourself. Saving a ton of money! Too many blinds out there are now ridiculous on price and people can see from your video that you can make a decent blind for a fraction of the price.

Yep the Booner blind was 500 ish, a few 2x4s, bag of bolts n nuts etc. the most was the platform it sits on

Great video with some good, helpful commentary. I have looked at that blind at Menards. It is too flimsy for my taste, but to each his own. I decided to build my own blind in the usual method....2x4 framed walls and siding. Keep up the great content and best of luck to you this season!

Thanks Danny, yes the Booner was pretty flimsy but I added some wood to stiffen it up but yes stick built is a great way to go. I looked at better constructed but better equals more money. Thanks for watching and I hope ya had a chance to subscribe

I purchased Maxxed outdoor windows to replace the windows this blind comes with. It's been a 100 times better to hunt since I installed them. I also secured the blind to the platform by screwing 2x4 at bottom of each panel.

I have the 4 panel Booner blind- it's a little tight but I make it work. Really like it, and I would like a bit of a shelf inside under the windows. How did you attach the 2x4's inside? What do you use to keep the windows up? Thanks!

Jerome C I glued 2x4s with construction adhesive on the inside and then I screwed them from the outside with drywall screws and fender washers, which built the frame then the plywood on top

Well done video, how does this blind hold up to snow load ? Do you put in a center post/brace when not using? Thanks
@CharleyThePlumber
@CharleyThePlumber 4 жыл бұрын
I love the blind and where we hunt it does not get a ton of snow but with it being black it stays pretty warm so it will melt off I think the thing that will kill this blind is the UV ray

A man who had the exact same one as he had a horrible wasp infestation when he went to open it up fo hunting season…..im assuming they entered during the gaps u showed that were too big for silicone..just a heads up…he also had rugs he would put on the floor for noise muffleing. Looks like fun to hunt in that….id like to camouflage mine if I had one…..

Yes I had wasps last year in it, had to spray them with starting fluid. The camo would be a nice option if it came from booners
