@Ed-ICE-Berg Have you purchased any of the new RMT Trains Rolling Stock yet Ed. I Love them. Better Details than Lionel or MTH. The Cars Graphics and Paint Schemes are Top Notch. Cheap like Menards Cars but made better. I've bought Several and I want to pick up about 8 of the East Broad Top Ore Cars when they Arrive.

@@jebbthetrainkid1281 I have a bunch of older RMT stuff, but none of the new items. I've been very picky about what I buy lately as I'm running out of room out in The Cave! I already have a lot of rolling stock so each piece I buy has to be thought out.

@Ed-ICE-Berg Agree with you 100 percent Ed. The New RMT stuff is a far better quality than the old with this new Owner. I'm like you, I try to stick to only a few RR Roadnames. For me it's The B&O, Chessie, Anything CASS, Strasburg and now East Braod Top. I'm not into all that Lionel Fantasy stuff myself. These RMT EBT Ore Cars may be the only O Scale items I purchase all year long besides 3 of the MTH Pup Trailer Cars I have on Hold until they come out. I've been buying up some O Scale Lumber to start Scratch Building me some more Building for Display purposes since my Layout is full. I want to do a couple of West Virginia Coal Mine Company Stores and a couple of Gas Stations. This will keep me busy this cold and Snowy Winter.

@ When I started to concentrate only on railroads that ran in Wisconsin I didn't realize just how long that list was going to be and I keep discovering more and more railroads that ran in the state! I don't mind fantasy trains - after all the Polar Express is a fantasy train - but I just don't have the money for all of that. Also, technically any GP7, EP5, or Trainmaster lettered for the Milwaukee Road is a fantasy scheme as the Milwaukee Road didn't run those engines. I've been buying more stuff for the layout, like backdrop flats and odds-&-ends, to help complete the look I'm after.

Nice Ed. I like your pro & con description. Cheap is so right as far as Menards Locomotives go.! I personally don't like the bell and horn along with the plastic gears. The crew talk I do like but not the jack rabbit speed control. Menards I'm guessing has some of the electronic things they can do or not do without infringing on Lionel and MTH patents?
