Would love a tutorial on the remote though, and how to light it and sync it with the remote if it goes out which it does about once a year and sometimes we just have to have a tech out to our home just to get it synced!

Question: I have a projector screen that drops out of a soffit over my fireplace. The screen comes down to about 8 inches above the fireplace opening. Do you think there will be too much heat for the screen? Or, does most of the heat get blown forward into the room?

What is the price on that exact setup? Great video. Thanks for sharing.

Hi there - thanks so much for this video! Super helpful. Wish you were in my area. One question, what is the name of the rock veneer that you are showing with this mendota 36 fullview fireplace? I'm kind of thinking it may be Moose Mountain Cottage Blend from Montana Rocks - but not sure Thank you !

Does it get too hot? I am thinking of using it for heat, Midwest cold climate, room is 750 sq ft. Heat load needed for area is only 19K. I am concerned if I put it in, it will be uncomfortably hot 5-8 ft from the unit, too hot to use. Thoughts? I would love your opinion.

Do you all use any veneer stone?

We use all sorts of finish materials. We do use veneer stone. Mendota is great about working with a variety of finish materials, but you do have to be careful to select the front that works best with the finish material you are using, and the aesthetic you hope to achieve.
