Honest question, do people really feel triggered by colonisation in a medieval/fantasy larp?
@qixotlАй бұрын
Yes, a lot of people complain about it in Empire LARP. When the players (ie. the Empire) are winning, they are by definition the colonizers, and then the players have to vote on how to treat conquered people, which often draws uncomfortable parallels with current affairs. Empire is a deliberately political game, and MF is going for a much lighter, more high-fantasy vibe.

Re: the Bank lottery. If the only current* incentive to take time at the end of each event to line up for the bank is a very low chance at wealth, will there be anything to prevent people just leaving one of the lowest currency in the bank permanently to remain in the lottery while taking the rest home?

11:34 is having a mental health team something 'different'? Don't most larps have this?
@katharinequatermass1475Ай бұрын
Yes - IMO this is standard in UK Larp including other Fest larps. Participant Welfare from trained counsellors or mental health first aiders. Quiet spaces. Design principles that allow people to easily drop out of character without being remarked upon in character.

The good thing about having teams for this is it also encourages the players to look after each other more. I know that in my groups we do drop out of character if someone is struggling so we can support them.

Re: Gods. If there is no new info coming out pre-event, can we assume that players can define them for the sake of their characters story*?
